Default Seeking a Campaign Theme in DDO

    Hello DDOers...

I've been away for about a year and have returned with friends hoping to find a "spin" on how we approach the game this go around...just for fun. We're going to run a weekly group and would ideally like to run quests along a certain theme... I've done this in the past where we all made builds with emphasis on killing undead...there's so much undead content out there it worked (at the time). Is there something similar for Outerplanar ceratures? Something that can go from level 1-end game?

Alternatively... Do you have any other suggestions for a "path" so to speak?

Outerplanar creatures are not so big in the early game, however, the Korthos Quests are directly related to some of the later quests. IQ in particular picks up from where Korthos took off. Unfortunately most of the extraplanar stuff doesnt pick up until around the Vale.

Even including elementals, I don't recall anything prior to Depths series that has much extraplanar. You might be able to make a career out of fighting off invasion forces.

I'm way to rusty on the story line....but I like the sound of it. Where can i research this concept further?

    Default Devil Assault adventure pack

There are 2 quests in there, a raid and a survival wave-type quest.
    Chronoscope and Devil Assault.
All have to do with Devils, aka extraplanar (not from this plane)

    Might be Demon Assault tho..

If you are looking for a roleplay idea behind a group build/path this just screams silver flame. From a roleplay stand point the silver flame would not trust just anyone to destroy demons. You would have to work up the ranks. Thinking catacombs, sorrowdusk, and some of the sands. Don't forget that Xoriat is another plane so we have beholders, mind flayers, and the taken to throw in the mix.

Have a look at this link...

It would be helpful to know the level range of these Stories....AND....if they connected to each other in some capacity.

The stormreaver line would be an option. Iirc it looks something like this:

    Waterworks
    STK
    Tempest Spine
    Vault of Night
    Gianthold
    Reavers Refuge
    Inspired Quarter & Dreaming Dark

There might be some more but most of these quests are fairly heavily involved with the Stormreaver storyline and the first 2 I think reference it (STK is the sequel of WW and if memory serves it is about the stormreaver prophecy but it's been a long time since I've paid attention to it)

The 4 necropolis chains are all more or less a story arc too.

And there's the devils storyline (vale of twilight and devils of Shavarath as well as Chronoscope and devils assault)
    Shamgar ~ Pjstechie ~ Melchizedek ~ Habakkuk ~ Josheb ~ Magoi ~ Kinnor ~ Eshek ~ Zakchaios ~ Jephthah ~ Bartimaios ~ Ehudh ~ Bezaleluri ~ Nebuchad ~ Lava Divers (Khyber) ~ Epic Education ~ Building Blocks ~ DDOCast ~ contact me
