Robe of Duality + Abishai set: Does the caster level bonus stack? When I reach lvl 5 with my awesome new sorcerer, is the caster level for Sonic Blast (Evocation spell) going to be 8 (5+2+1)?

Unrelated question: Can sonic spells, such as Sonic Blast be boosted by any of the sorcerer energy manipulation lines?

Unrelated comment: I like Sonic Blast. It obliterates kobolds in Waterworks wilderness area

I don't know about the main question, but I can answer your unrelated question.

It's the Electrical/Air energy line (I forget the exact name right off hand) that boosts the damage of Sonic Blast and other sonic spells.

And I'm glad to see another spellcaster has fallen in love with it It's a great spell for its levels.

Yes it stacks making any lev 1 evocation spell +3 above your actual level and any non evocation +2.

Robe of duality is awesome for niacs and burning hands at lev 2-4 also any tr'ing wizard should have one.

Indeed, just TRed into WF and missed the Robe quite a bit.
Especially, now that, at level three, you add a Cannith Crafted Conj Focus item and Superior Freeze 75% clickies.
Niac's is like a short cool down, 10 SP Insta-kill spell for the Harbor.

<3 Robe of Duality. I used that and tag teamed acid spray and burning hands w/out metamagics to burn through low levels; screw melee, this strategy cleared dungeons much faster and still left enough SP to dump on bosses with metamagics on.

Just remeber most lvl 1 spells have there damage caps at lvl 5 so even if it says you cast burning hand at lvl 8 it still only does 5d2+10.
