    Default PM gear question

I am wondering where to slot my sp gs item to my first life PM wizard
I plan to gear him towards survivability with some DC/spell penetration concern in mind.
I do not intend to remake the gs item at lv20 so planning ahead is needed.
I will TR him when I have all gears needed farmed.
There are too many variations on forum that I am a bit confused.

From google/forum search I find the following as must have's
    Bracers of the Demon's Consort
    Torc of Prince Raiyum-de II
Pale Master Ring/Belt (does it do 200% or 60% now???? if it does 60%, it sucks cuz i have like......6 clickies + 3 efficient clickies)
Perhaps Epic diablo robe for 7int as I missed Mabar.

It seems to me that helm and gloves yeilds the best choice for GS?

I have been considering making a GS sp neck for my pm, after lich form and buffs swap to torc

the PM set is +60% for all negative energy, so it gives some nice save damage on your wail and finger but idk what else really isn't covered and surpassed by a sup nihil vi clickie(s)

    Bracers of the Demon's Consort
    I would disagree with this.

For an SP item I would go with Goggles. I would also hold out until Mabar is back to get a robe as it's rather useful.

I wish there were a few more choices of gear that had Boon to Undeath.

I like to put my conc op items in my goggles slot. I've found that it doesn't interfere with any future class I choose either which is an added bonus. I realize the magewrights spectacles are an amazing selection now which makes it a much tougher decision but as I already have my conc op crafted I will not recreate them in another slot and I'm taking care of my spell pen in other ways.

Get the +6 INT and Archmagi/Spell pen Ioun Stones and fully upgrade.

I have Conc Opp SP Goggles and Triple Earth HP bracers......I have no problems on my PM adding the other gear I want with these two spots taken.

I'd never craft GS gogglrs for a wizzy due to:

Magewright spectacles ( http://ddowiki.com/page/Magewright%27s_Spectacles ) AKA where you slot your spell pen 9
    and/or
Epic spectacles of spirit sight ( http://ddowiki.com/page/Epic_Spectacles_of_Spirit_Sight ) AKA where you can slot both greater necro and greater ench focus (not having or not willing to use the staff of the petitioner)

but that is my personal choice ..

About the GS, I personally use helm and boots, but the helm from new chain looks good for a lightning specc'd PM so, i'd consider getting it, since it's new and f2p shouldnt be that hard to find the stuff to complete it ..

Ioun stones are easy enough to get for spell pen, epic staff of inner sight covers necro and enchantment, I'd say it's not a bad choice at all.

goggles and gloves were my choice.

    bracers - demon consort
    neck - torc
    belt - rhakirs/eerie/lion
helm - epic frost (might be an option if you don't want anything to do with abishai, i personally enjoy it)
    cloak - envenomed
    boots - corrosion

Thank you everyone for your advise/sharing/insight.

I think I will go with the helm. It looks like it's the safest spot because the stats from the only seems-to-be good helm can be covered by other items.

I want as much sp / hp proc as possible :>

Demon consort bracers are one of the best items available to a pale master even the non epic version epic version of course is better for the two slots..

As to the op diabolist robe is ok but boon is so powerful if you missed mabar may try for the abbot robe which when upgraded is really nice too.

Epic darkstrom helm is really strong especially if you don't have mabar robe. Helm is a pretty nice slot even if you just use minos there its hard to beat. Gloves and then either goggles or boots are my preferred slots for gs.

Umm I am going to use a lot of clickies for negative damage, so epic nil means nothing.
I will try to lay my hands on the abbot robe (if I ever get lucky enuf) so void lore will mean nothing.
Fort means nothing for PM and I don't think I would want to give up a slot for just 20hp....so I ain't using minos.
I guess I can stick with helm for GS.

Sup lore>major lore so the lore on the epic helm does mean something for both void and lightning lore. This is why you want the helm not for the epic dmg boosts. Green slot means you can put a nice effect here you don't have elsewhere.

As for fort if you don't wear a fort item you can't use yugo int pots meaning you lose 1 dc to all spells. So yes fort items do mean something.

Not only that but a bunch of mobs bypass some % of fort now. And yeah, if you're not an int yugo pot addict on a PM you're doing it wrong
