    Default Jial Heterodyne

    So, I've finally changed my mind and decided that I'll be going with Human for Jial's final life. While WF was more thematically appropriate (can't decide if I should throw some TP at a rename to get rid of the Heterodyne, since it makes no sense any more ), human is just so much better in terms of feats and not having painfully low healing amp. So, the new goal will be maximum DPS and self sufficiency, with no focus on AC whatsoever. Also, style. This build WILL be wearing a top hat.

    Stats (starting-36 point):
    Str - 18 + 5 level ups + 3 tome
    Dex - 8 + 2 tome
    Con- 14 + 3 tome
    Int - 9 + 3 tome (TR, to get bonuses early)
    Wis - 8 + 2 tome
    Cha - 17 + 3 tome

    For charisma, I'll be just a +3 tome away from DM4, which will be awesome (there was no way I would have been able to manage that on a WF). I'm leaving intelligence on an odd number because I've got a +3 int tome lying around, and all the other stats left me with only a single build point left.

    Feats (mostly figured out):
    1(passive past lives): 2xpaladin
    1(human): Toughness
    1: THF
    3: Power Attack
    6: ITHF
    9: IC:Slashing
    12: GTHF
    15: Shield Mastery
    18: Maximize
    I'm thinking I'll probably swap out shield mastery for quicken, once I feel I have enough HP to justify the loss of DoS. Or maybe I'll just postpone the swap until the enhancement review, since they might actually buff up KotC to the point where it can do something again.


    Gear:
    Goggles: Tharnes
    Hat: eBig Top, +6 Con slotted for swapping out the Shintao cord for a torc.
    Trinket: Bloodstone or Crafted supdev4 shard of +4 to-hit
    Necklace: Shintao, swap in Torc.
    Cloak: GS ConOpp Hp
    Gloves: eClaw
    Bracers: eClaw, swap in Tharnes if Agro becomes an issue.
    Boots: GS triple Air SP. Obvious swap ins.
    Belt: eMoron, +1 exc charisma slotted.
    Ring1: Kyosho's (+2 str)
    Ring2: Thamor's (+20% HAmp)

    Armor: eCavalry Plate, +2 Good Luck slotted.

    Weapon: eSoS, silver slotted should work for most. I'll do DPS calc later to see if making a cold iron GCOB falch is worth it for all the demons that'll probably show up in the expansion. eNoxious Fang for ranged, Force Rahl's for painting, Vengeful Protector for when shield is an option.

    Still need: SoS scroll (grrr), Thamor's, Kyosho's, new GS, eClaw Gloves shard/scroll, torc, Tharne's bracers. A lot of epic tokens.

    Ending Stats (of importance)
    Strength: 18 base + 5 levels + 10 items + 3 tome + 2 yugo + 2 ship + 6 stance = 46
    Constitution: 14 base + 9 items + 3 tome + 2 yugo + 2 ship + 6 stance = 36
    Charisma: 17 base + 7 items + 3 tome + 3 enh + 2 yugo + 2 ship = 34

    HP: (200 base + 260 con + 20 yugo + 40 sfl + 45 GS + 22 feat + 20 toughness + 40 enh)*1.2 = 776
    HAmp: 1.05(PL)*1.05(PL)*1.1(ship)*1.2(human)*1.2(Incredi ble Potential)*1.3(Claw) = 2.27
    Average CSW: 31.5(average)*2.27(HAmp)*2(Maximize)*2.05(Ardor+Ti er 3 enhancement) = 293
    LoH: 30*12*2.27 = 817 (waaaaaay overkill)
    These are assuming I won't have enough AP for t3 human HAmp or t4 Devotion.

    Skills:
    Max Concentration and UMD, start filling Intim at 3 and catch up at ~13. Add a point into tumble somewhere. Through the rest into whatever - heal, swim, repair, w/e. Jump if you really don't feel like swapping in Morah's belt.
    UMD: 11 base + 3 big top + 2 good luck + 6 exc cha skills + 12 cha + 4 GH = 38 self buffed. Good enough for Rez scrolls, which is all I really care about - my CSWs will be hitting for more than scrolled Heals.

    Enhancements are guaranteed to be tight, regardless of what PrE I'm in. I figure I'll just wing it until the enhancement review hits. Making sure to take at least the first two human HAmp enhancements, DM4, Divine Sacrifice (unsure which tier, since they don't scale much), and maybe Exalted Smite 3 because +2 to crit multiplier is pretty, even for only a few hits. Probably level up to cap as HotD, experience the ecstasy of ridiculous HAmp, then swap to DoS until feats/enhancements get sorted out later.

    Looks Solid. I just don't know what else to say till the enh pass. I think it'll make a big diff on pallys.


    You see your role as general DPS + Heal amp tank when necessary?

    Mostly DPS. While he's still DoS, he'll have enough HP to tank some stuff (and threat will never be a problem), but I'm not going to miss DoS at all once I have an excuse to swap out. Especially if I can manage Madstones well, since even though the stance gives me +6 str/con, double madstone and the rage spell give me +6 str and +10 con. I'll still have less health because of the loss of the % bonus, but it shouldn't be that harsh.

    One thing I'm hoping for is better soloing/self sufficiency. With the current WF set up, CSW just doesn't hit for enough and the charisma penalties make it impossible to UMD heal scrolls with any efficiency. 5 LoHs are nice now, but having 4-5 later hitting me for 800+ each is much, much better.

    The only thing I really lose from WF is arcane healing (nice but not crucial) and PA enhancements, but having the charisma for Divine Might makes up for the PA.
