    Default Psionics?

Just returned to the game after being away for several years. I left before it went F2P (which we know is never free & can be more expensive than monthly fees)
Being away so long I'm way behind on the latest gossip, so I was wondering if their had been any chatter in my absence about Psionics & any other races being added. Seeing as in 3.5 there are several manuals dedicated to Psionics & the variety of classes, would only make sense they be included here.
What about the various races that are Psionic prone?
    Any word on new races?
Dont think I have seen any of the Prestige classes either.

Let us have Githyanki, Githzeri, Tieflings & Prestige classes please

No word on races. As far as f2p/premium/VIP, look into the new CE prepurchase pack. $80 gives you virtually everything. Perfect for a returning player like you and cheaper than a 1 year sub.

I bought both the year sub & new purchase pack as i was told, maybe erringly, that even being premium, I had to purchase the new stuff. Not a complaint mind you, just an observation about the nature of "free to play". I personally am more than willing to pay for content as I would expect to get paid if I worked on creating it.

So no plans for psionics in the future? Or any new races?

If they add Kalashtar (a Core Eberron race), they will definitely add Psionics.

This^, in so many words, is how you say time and feedback on Lamannia are wasted.

Don't know what they are. Will have to look them up.
Honestly not a fan of Ebberon, nor 4th ed for that matter. I'm old school 2nd ed. Started w/1st many moons ago when I was a wee one. lol. On the fence about 3.5 as I agree w/much of the content, seeing as I had already incorporated many of the ideas into my own games through the years previously. It's just a bit rule heavy.
I liked Psionics as far back as 2nd ed since it was not something most players used back then. It was a great tool for keeping other players in awe of my exotic powers. As a DM, it was great to keep players on their toes. Ahh, the days when Mindflayers would make even the most battle-hardened party wet themselves >

If they add psionics give it to the enemies 1st. I'd especially like them to have clairvoyance so they would see us coming in advance and be hasted, deathwarded, have their full line of resistances, GH, blur, and a few displacements already up and running when we arrive.

    Question

There actually *is* a kind of "psyonic skill" in the game - but since I have no knowledge about the D&D rules behind the game I really cannot say how close it is to the pen & paper rules system :

It is the (weaker) blessing people get after the Degenev show ...
The icon realy says that this is a "psionic boost" on I think it was charisma-based sjills ...
"You are a Tiefling. And a Cleric, with the Domain of the Sun. Doesn't that contradict each other ?" "No, all my friends are playing evil. I found that so boring that I decided to be on the good side. And, besides, Sun and Fire, where is the difference, really ?"

Well, they are planning to put in a new, supposedly player friendly enhancement tree system in summer, and the Druid class is supposed to come out then, as well. No word on any new races, they're focusing on enhancements and prestige enhancements.

Speaking of Prestige. Are there Prestige Class trainers in the game? Or is it just the way you choose your Feats?
I heard someone the other day talking about their PaleMaster. This is as close as I'm going to get to a true Necromancer, so I want it. Just not sure if my level 12 Wizzie is already there or I have to find a specific trainer. My character is listed as a Necromancer & when I last played, I chose to continue on his Path each level, but he sure doesn't feel like a Necromancer.

For Pale Master specifically check out: http://ddowiki.com/page/Palemaster

All classes can choose from at least one prestige enhancement by the time they hit level 6 if they meet the prerequisites.

On topic, I'm glad someone mentioned the Kalashtar. I looked them up and they seem like a really fun race to try. As a side note, the more I read on Eberron the more I like it. I think they should consider psionics if only to really make this game stand out.

There's more than that. There's the Mind Flayers running around, eating brains and getting drunk with the helf-elven chicks (hey, someone has to like them and what horrible abomination from Xoriat wouldn't mistake a Half-Elf in DDO for a fellow Xoriat critter? ). They have several psionic abilities like Mind Blast. Titan's Grip gives a Psionic bonus to STR.

The problem with 3.5e Psionics is that it is, essentially, magic with sp instead of spells-per-day. The psionic "spells" match up to the arcane and divine counterparts exactly. So what would psionics bring to DDO?

Not to say it can't, or shouldn't, be done, but that it's probably going to need a total rework in order to not simply suck or be the same thing we already have, which would suck since we want new stuff to play with.

You can select enhancements at your regular class trainers; all prestige classes have, in DDO, been implemented as enhancement lines, and are picked up by going to the regular class trainer, and selecting them. You usually have to spend a lot of action points on useless fluff though, so you might have to check the box saying "show unavailable" and try to plan it out. It's less than intuitive, though I've gotten used to it after a couple of years of playing.

A level 12 Wizard can pick up the first and second tiers of Pale Master PrE. I think you need to have Toughness and Spell Focus/Greater Spell Focus Necromancy to qualify for them, but I'm not a Wizard player yet so I can't be 100% certain. I say yet because I've played nearly every other class, and definitely every casting class but Wizard. There are also undead forms to pick up as enhancements.
