Crafting success rates seem off

If you don't want to see a string of failures, don't craft shards that only have a 50% success rate.
The unenjoyable nature of the situation is not on Turbine, it's on the player that chose to craft risky shards.
We have options to craft other shards with a higher chance of success. If you choose to go with the 50% shards, don't be surprised, don't be upset, and certainly don't claim the system is broken when you see a string of failures. You didn't have to see that string of failures. You *chose* to allow that possibility.

I would like to point out the ?infamous Wi-Flag.

In Turbines other game, Asheron's Call, monster often randomly select a player to attack.

Some players thought that they were somehow attacked more often and posted this on the boards, just to be ridiculed by a lot of other players - with the same sayings, its random, its the same chance every time etc etc


But after some years, Turbine found out that their code was actually misbehaving, and that the assumptions of those players were true.

Also the guy posting his bad luck on chrono scrolls got blasted right away with statistics and how there is a chance that his 5 hours of scroll farming was not enough data.
