Missing NPC's

Started last night,created new character on wayfinder, got to the veteran boat and there's no captain on the ship.Then type /death to get to market and the warforged guy doesn't give me items, supposedly because i could not advance the heart of wind stuff. so i logoff.

next day, different server (sarlona) log in and running egg hunt to pass time, notice there is no general vendor in marketplace, or potion or wand vendor. or level 4-6 hireling vendor.

am i going nuts because no one else seems to have this problem. Is my install borked? It's been working fine for the past month. I'll try to throw some pics up.

Usually missing NPC's (textures, models etc) indicate an issue with the game loading data from the install. Try going into Options > Graphics and putting graphics quality on Very Low and restarting, see if they show up then.

If they do there's most likely a loading delay while the game renders these on screen, in either case a reinstall may be best to ensure that there's a clean set of data files to load.
