    Default THE LoB Tank All the HP's

    So i suppose i should probably explain the build....
    The concept is a healer friendly tank, being fleshie, with high intim, dr, and physical damage resistance while shield blocking. This build will use bastard swords and tower shield mostly at end game but since we took the thf line that means we can use any two hander while leveling. This builds main weapon will be the epic chimera's fang from Sentinels. I would use that with a Levik's defender for the best result. With hate generation once you have aggro you should be able to hold it and also shield block when needed. It might be needed to grab aggro with a greatsword first then shield block but either way you shouldnt have to worry about losing aggro.

    This build will be under the assumption of at least 1 past life of paladin.

    Any questions, concerns, comments are welcome and appreciated i built this in my opinion to be the best LoB tank possible with good healing amp and excellent threat generation. Not to mention the fact he'll have over 1000 hp buffed; sustainable around 940 without yugo.

    I did not do an ac breakdown as i was not building for AC if someone would like to take the time and work it out they can be my guest otherwise i will not bother. I am more concerned with HP, guards, threat and intim at this point.

    So for every in 9 hits we gain 60 hp back every 3 hits.
    What does this mean it means in those 9 hits we healed ourselves for about 60 damage giving us a total
    Damage reduction to 2583 (60 hp back) 2563 damage from the original 3600. Thats equivalent of 2 heal spells
    or about 5 scrolls accordingly.

    Cool insight, never thought of it this way. But then again I hate math.

    I doubt it work like that.
    Instead, the multipliers adds up.
    10%+15%+20%+75%+75%=195% extra hate (295% with your base)
    Reasons behind the math:
    Same bonus numbers on items dont stack (Brawn with chimera, Claw with chimera, etc), but enhancement bonuses do (+75% from shield and +75% from stance, or x% from orc).

    And a simple example why they dont multiply each other:
    I have a character who have low dps, but high hate. If hate would multiply itself, it would be 2*2*1.55*1.25=775% (100%robe, 100%pala, 55%monk, 25%palistance)
    With a single TOD, which do ~550 damage overall (TWF, doublestrike, base damage), i would generate 4250+ hate. From a single attack. Thats enough to hold aggro for 7-10 seconds vs top geared fighters without incite.
    I see no such thing in game.

    Post 1 fixed minor gear errors, mainly slots of stalwart TOD gear. Fixed few minor typos. Also added Toughness IV since AP allows it being Stalwart isnt AP heavy. Adjusted Hp Accordingly. Also adjusted thrat calcs as i was in the wrong. Thanks to @Moltier for his assistance.

    Post 2 now contains enhancements/breakdown.

    Can't take toughness as a fighter bonus feat. But I think you'll still have enough HP...

    oh no i'll make it work idk how but ill figure out the proper order lol. the goal is to be able to keep over 1000 at all times. i was comfy at 900 but i want to able to about 5 hits in the face from lob.. need over 1000 for that

    Switch to 18/2 Monk and you will pick up 2 more toughness feats, done over 1000HP


    A couple of suggestions:

    Feat swap IC: Slashing at cap. It won't work with Efang and you can make
    a GS Min 2 THF weapon (saves a feat for something else).

    Improved Sunder: drop, it's meh. on a S&B build, at least from my experience.

    Edit: you could pick up Greater WS Slashing feat instead of IC Slashing.

    If you plan on tanking eLOB, don't use the eFang leading up to the end fight.
    And get yourself a 2nd eFang...they can break in extended fights.

    Excellent Intim 87, perfect for tanking eLOB and still drinking SF pots if needed.
    Now, you can get the Spider mask (if you have it) +1 Intim and move an AP around and still
    maintain the 87 mark.

    So assuming a 400 point hit from LOB ... 400 - 21DR = 374 *.75 (25% Damage Resist) = 287 damage
    DR doesn't work like that, you only get highest passive DR (ie DR 6 from SD3) + blocking DR if actively blocking. But you'll get more than DR 9 from blocking.

    Okay, here are some more.

    "THE LoB Tank All the HP's"
    If you want max HP, you could add 2 monk levels, for even more hp, better saves, and evasion for the time when you wear light armor.

    Also every character starts with the free hero feat which gives +20hp.

    Another thing, 87 intimi seems too high. Even if you use silver flame pots.
    Stalwarts can reach usefull reflex saves, if you work a bit for it. Some point from CHA to DEX wouldnt hurt. And the extra balance isnt bad either. As a bonus, it would make monk evasion even better for the few fights you really want.

    Intimidate: Its not really 100%
    While it last, it is 100%, but the CD is 15sec, and the effect last only for 12sec.
    Also it takes a minimal time to activate it (intimi then break the animation with a trip). Count on it as 75% bonus. Less then 20% if you dont use a shield.

    thanks for the hp catch yet again.. id give some more rep but i gotta spread it around first. and as far as monk as much i like the idea im just really set on staying pure (for once! lol). But i appreciate the thought and the reasoning behind it.

    Nice, as I post above says I'd recommend 2 levels of monk= 2 extra toughness feats.

    My stalwart is 18/2 fighter/monk stands at 1063 hps(w/ ship buffs), I don't hac enough invite items tho currently finishing claw gloves and Brawns an he is THF.

    Build works well in LoB I took 12 debuffs from him was at 450 hps still haha.

    I would recommend finding improved shield bash there somewhere and making a Addy/Holy/GCB shield for sheild bashing him while actively blocking. Your agro will be fine while hitting him but using the hound shield blocking only will lose agro reasonably quickly meaning you have to intim or go back to hitting and risk morlands and specials. Also some of your DR do not stack but take the higher that is active.
