    Default Two Small Guild Suggestions

These are two small guild suggestions, but I figured I would share them.

1st, let us sort Guild members by account. Since the game already tracks unique accounts in guild vs Unique characters, this shouldn't be much of an issue. Simply use the first (alphabetical) character of an account, and indent the rest.

    For example:

    Artifometer
    --Florista
    --Ironsilk
    --Korrdik
    --Pityfooll
    --Torrrk

2nd, and this goes along with the first. Allow us to assign an alias to a guildie's account. This alias shows up next to the character name in Chat windows, in brackets, so that its easier to tell who's necessarily chatting, especially if you have an alt happy guild.

    For Example:
Artifometer [Bob]: Hi Guys, Hows it Going?
    Merlok [Hoss]: Good.
    Inky [Tim]: Great, you?

    Later Conversation:
Korrdik [Bob]: Ok guys, I'm in on my Rogue, we doing Giant Hold?
Junkyard [Hoss]: Yeah, we are at Feast or Famine, you coming? Tim should be here shortly.
Pinky [Tim]: I'm here, just at the tavern.

I like the idea of having a Universal Alis, perhaps have this as a Guild Option and a Friends list option to apply an Alis to a character name.

    What a great idea!

The only small problem I can see is if someone's associated name is, let's say Lovemuffins, and he/she makes a new toon, lets say Brewhaha. Brewhaha now becomes the main toon that all the alts are associated with and could cause some temporary confusion.

Overall though this is a great idea.

I thought about that. But using the first alphabetical simply made the most sense and would be the easiest to code.

There are other possible ways, highest toon, let the player mark the "main" etc. But, they all have holes in them, and I figured the simplest would just be to use the name.

I like both ideas, but I'd prefer to see the second idea applied the other way around.

I'd like to be able to add an automatic account alias that puts [HRhapsody] in the front of all of my text instead of making other people assign an alias to me.

Yes, I think player selection of the main toon would work well, although technically the same small problem exists if a player decides to change his/her main toon.

It's not a major firewall to this suggestion though. We can all work it out I'm sure.

The reason I didn't do that is because that small change adds a bit more character storage or bandwidth to be used. If every player sets their own alias, then it uses up a fraction more storage x alot of players.

The way I suggested it means that there is no storage used for the alias (on the server side) as all this information can be stored locally.
