Default Looking to barb up my fighter life.

Hello, I have been looking to change up my next fighter life with some barb. I have seen the Blitz 12/6/2 but was looking for just a fighter barb mix. Usually I dont multi but stay pur 1-20 so this is a bit different for me.

I have been looking at 12/8 fighter barb and 14/6. Not sure how the 2 levels either way plays out entirely. So thought i would ask for some advice here.

Have you considered going Barbarian(18)/Fighter(2)? This is a solid split. The Fighter(12)/Barbarian(8) split you have is also, imo good, as it achieves a very high, fairly sustainable strength score. It's very AP starved however.

Your stats should be maxed strength(20) with good constitution, probably 16 or so, with enough dexterity for the two weapon fighting line. 14 with a +3 tome, 15 with a +2.

Take a barbarian level at level 1. The fast movement speed, rage for damage, and increased skill points are all more useful than early access to +1 to hit, which you don't even need on a twinked out third life toon.

You don't start taking two weapon fighting until level 12. Take it at level 1 and move Cleave to level 10 or so. You don't need FB until level 10 cause everything dies in one hit anyways.

Don't take Greater Weapon Focus on any build that's not a level 16 fighter. The +1 to hit is worthless. Take Over Sized Two Weapon Fighting or Quick Draw, but not GWF. You only need GWF to qualify for the second level of fighter weapon specialization, and SWF to qualify for Kensai III.

Take all the rage extends you possibly can. I think you have 3 at level 8 but I'm not 100% sure.

Take all three Orcish Power Attack Enhancements. Drop Orcish Power Rage and Barbarian constitution 2. Maybe both even. Drop the hardy rages for Extra Action Boosts. Take all four Fighter Haste Boosts. Those are key to fighter dps, and will be even more useful when adding in the massive damage the barbarian puts out.

I lpayed the 12ftr/8 barb mix to 20 and found it to be a lot of fun. I went 2 handed weapon instead but think twf prob woul have been better. It still played great. Te nicething about this build is the crazy str and con you can achieve. And yes as vara said 8 barb will get you the 3rd tier of extended rage which is vital. My str ungeared basically on him at 20 was 64(only madstone boots) and rages lasted 3 min and 20 sec. He has 5 rages and 12 action boosts which is good for 95% of content.

Also I would suggest taking stunning blow and using trip. With your str getting pretty high you ll find both of those to be great peronal crowd control up until amarath and beyond where you will start to have to gear for them with stunner and vertigo gear.
