The Mabar Night Revels quest "Under new ravagement" has a certain line :

"Pounding can be heard from below".

This is a direct reference to the old story by Edgar Allan Poe called "The Tell-Tale Heart".

In it, an insane murderer confesses his murder because of the loud pounding of the heart of the murdered man from down below the floor ...
The story's jest or joke, however, isn't that easy to understand : A dead person cannot have a still beating heart - thus, the muderer falls victim to his false believe that the dead person's heart is still beating - but instead it is the murderer's heart thart's beating !
