Launcher disappears, but is still running

Worked fine yesterday, tried to play today started the launcher and then it disappeared and no login screen.

The last thing I see is it saying "opening main form", I followed the instructions in the knowledge base about it not loading at this point to no avail.

Things I have tried:

Reboot.
Reinstall dot net 1.1 and patch.
Lama launcher does the same thing.
A second install of DDO that is still at U12 does the same thing.
System restored back a few days.
Booted with a clean boot with no startup programs/services.
Ran 2 different virus checkers.
Deleted the userpreferences file
Firewall is off
Virus checkers are off
Rebooted router

Don't think its a network thing, because I can get on DDO from a different computer.

Currently downloading to try a reinstall (1hr to go)

Any one else experience this before?

Figured this one out.

If you delete this folder:

C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Local\Turbine\Dungeons and Dragons Online

It works, appears to be some sort of permissions issue.
