So I’m doing the LoB raid (nasty even on normal), and I notice that one of the clerics is getting quite low on his/her mana. So, being the nice guy that I am, I prepare to give them an elixir of major mnemonic enhancement. I put the item in an easy to find place in my inventory and open a trade window with them to pass it to them.
However, at that moment disaster strikes. The pop-up trade window severely impaired their vision and they got attacked and died.
Overall, I'm sure this didn't cause the raid's failure (rain of blades= wipe), but now I know that this current trade system is NOT combat or even quest friendly. Thus, I would recommend the following addition be added to the game: item passing.
To pass an item, you would select an icon in your little circley-do with the item recipient selected; perhaps right next to the trade icon. a little box/mini tab comes up and from your inventory you drag the item you want to give the person.
At the same time, the item subject of the pass would receive a little message, perhaps accompanied by a little ding, telling them who want to give them what. Then, just like to get the trade window to work, they would position themselves near them, or vice versa, and click "accept item” (they receive a similar tab pop-up perhaps from the left of their circle. When they get near, enough the tab glows a little and prompts for them to click.) Then it appears in their inventory. Quick, painless, and very quest/combat friendly.
-It would make sense were it real life too. Someone calls out to you that they want to give you something, and they shove it in your hands.
Or course; there would be the option of declining the item via a simple click. And BTA or BTC items would be perfectly off limits.
So, that's my idea. I believe it would really improve the game and cause less "accidents" like I caused.
~ (BTW, people, don't spam with "why did you kill cleric like that". I learned my lesson and won't do it again).
