Yes you can redistribute the new collars and each will have 2 collars to choose from. The extra certificates you'll destroy if you need the space, there's not other use for them.

Hmmmm, Still have not received the greater tome upgrade or my pets. I have a total of six characters on Thelanis, none of them have it in their inventory, mail, or bank. What next?

Yup, I concur though I haven't used the bound to account lesser xp tome. However, I got an extra bonus too...

I purchased the base addition, got my original lesser tome, applied it and upgraded it to a greater tome with favor earned TP.

Then I checked my other toons and found out that I received the following as extra; a wolf pup certificate, yellow collar and bound to account lesser xp tome on my first alphabetical toon. This extra was on top of a spiderling certificate, yellow collar and lesser tome (bound to character).

All in all, thank you Turbine!

Not sure how you can "exploit" a collar on a cosmetic pet. I put the extra collars on the pets and they work...that's not "anecdotal evidence" that's first-hand experience. You said "can I use them"...and yes, yes you can. Might have had been more clear to say "should I use them"?

If you're uncomfortable having 2 colors available for the collar for free then destroy them.

On the cosmetic pet front my 2nd account with the CE has not received pets or an upgrade to greater tome. I might have had deleted the first toon alphabetically on that account that might have had been logged in during that time period. (Well, I know the alphabetical part. I don't know exactly when I logged that toon in then deleted them to use vet status II, though with a different name.)

Has anyone else had trouble with the replacement tickets as I have?

I activated the ticket no problem on my main (not the highest alphabetically). Then I attempted to activate it on a character with a name that starts with 'A'. Didn't receive anything. Eventually after their tool did it's thing, I had all of the replacement items on my 'A' character except for the ticket for the mask/figurine/lesser tome, which was sent instead to the original character I activated my Greater Tome on. (So it was not sent to the character higher in the alphabet). So now I'm stuck with an extra mask/figurine/lesser tome on a character who doesn't need them, and since they are BtC I can't transfer them to the correct character via shared bank. Submitted a ticket and got a response which basically said (after I explained all this in the summary) "Your ticket should be sent to the character highest alphabetically, and you can pass tomes via shared bank. Both of those statements are completely incorrect so now I'm at a loss as to what to do.

best to wait till the 72 hours are up. We don't know what measure they have put in place to handle toons that were skipped or whatever. When and if you haven't received what you needed after 5pm Monday night, then I'd guess you and the rest of us in that boat will start a new thread asking for help. Seems to me Tolero is heavily invested in following up on this with us, so let's have confidence that she'll see it through untill we're all properly fixed.

Did you receive a lesser-to-greater BTA item on one of your accounts? I think one of Tolero's updates mentioned that would be part of the replacement. If I recall, she said you can then transfer the tome upgrade to the right place using shred bank or contact account support for assistance if you did not own a shared bank.

unfortunately no i did not recieve a lesser to greater upgrade or my collars and pets. I only got 4 characters checked them all, and checked the mail for all. I got everything except.

I've also been waiting for a yay or nay from Turbine, though I did send in a ticket asking whether I should have received the mail grants (even though I waited until after the hotfix to touch the initial grant item).

"Thank you for your inquiry. We do apologize that you received the replacement items if you did not need them. As this was a mass-fix, you can feel free to delete any duplicate items you may have received."

That's what it said in my email response. Not really clear on whether that's a "bonus for you guys, go ahead and keep them if you want" or "sorry, we didn't mean to send duplicates, but this was the most efficient fix we had, please delete anything you already have." Kind of want to reply and ask for clarification, but I figured I'd check this thread before I did.

The companions they're adding are just cute little pets to have following you around that have no effect on combat at all (they don't give away a stealthed character, either). The summoned animal spell is what they have implemented for the type of "companion" you are looking for. Unfortunately, there isn't much by way of pet classes (Pale Master Wizards and Favored Souls with the Lantern Archon are the only ones that come to mind besides hirelings and basic spell companions).

To your last question, though...yes, you can have the spell-summoned wolf and the new companion pups at the same time (since only one of them actually does anything for combat).

Have you noticed a new tab with a paw symbol to the right of your inventory? It should be there for all of your characters on that account now, no matter which character activated the pets. All of your characters can summon the cosmetic pets from there.

Exactly. The dilemma I have is, do I use the tome (it's BtA so I can transfer it to any of 10 toons) and have 2 toons on my account with the Greater XP Tome effect, and live with my conscience by telling it that "hey, they gave it to me, so I have the right to use it" (less bothersome, I am reasonably moral but not obsessively), then some time down the road Turbine comes in and erases it (50% chance from my main instead of my secondary toon) and I am stuck that way (more bothersome, cos TR XP is a pain)?
