UPDATE: Cakes & Pre-Purchase Tickets

I used the 6th Anniversary cake on my character Wobbock. But, with the update, it haven't gave me back the +2 Con tome I chose. What do I do now as a VIP?

So I only used mine on the main character I wanted initially. All my other toons that I didn't use the panther icon on, got a mail. The only character that hasn't gotten it, is the one character that got bugged initially. I know its 72 hours, so I'll wait till the end of the weekend, but its not looking good atm.

Fix sounds good. The one thing I was thinking about: you guys have any contingency plans in case someone without account bank were having problems?

Missing Tome:

Of character’s you’ve logged in this week, the first one alphabetically will receive an account-bound Lesser Tome of Learning in the mail. Since the item is Bound to Account, you may pass it to the character of your choice using the Shared Bank. If you do not have access to a “Shared Bank” please submit an account support ticket for assistance or visit our support site at https://support.turbine.com.

Players who don't have the Shared Bank will be unable to pass the bound-to-account Tome upgrade to another toon.

Players in that scenario will be able to get help from the support team so they can get the tome put on the right character.

This is just anecdotal, but mine seem to be coming based on age of character... the ones created longest ago received it first, and my newer toons haven't.

Sadly I have another issue.

So the character that got the shaft on the pre-order ticket did not get his items, but I did get a few replacement items mailed to me on my alphabetically-first toon, including a tome of learning. The tome of learning was unfortunately bound to character on acquire, so I was still not able to put the tome back on the character that lost it.

e.g.

Firstaidkit is the character who did not receive pre-order items.
Arkonath was mailed replacement items
Arkonath took the tome of learning out of the mailbox and is stuck with it because it's bound to character.
Firstaidkit still doesn't have a way to get a tome of learning without outright buying it.

Which expansion bundle did you get? If you got the Collector's Edition you should have an account-bound "upgrader" coming in a separate mail still (may not have arrived just yet). The standard and base editions will have separate mails of the Greater or Lesser that are also account bound (also may not be there yet).

Just a thought, and I'm sure you have your own plans for 'next time' but I was thinking that next time you do a pre-purchase like this, or any promotional type thing like this, maybe make it available to a smaller select group 1st, like Lamma participants maybe. It'd be a nice little perk for Lammanians, and it'd give you a chance to see how things are working on a smaller scale before the mass roll-out? Just a thot. In any event, having a disaster plan ready in advance would sure help...

Yes, every character on your account is going to receive a new "token" that gives you all the 4 items again, including the lesser tome.

Might be something broken in the mailing. One of my characters got mailed a second pre-order ticket. I hadn't actually opened his first yet either. This was not the first character alphabetically that I had logged in this week either.

Of course, the two tickets just got me two sets of the BTC items so did no good for the character I actually want the items on.
