Default So.. When is the patch to fix recarnation?

Not being able to TR realy put a damper on my plans as all my char are curretnly not where I want them to be at and all are caped except one (luckly i got one i can level up atm but that wont last to long)....

My main is in limbo unplayable untill i can do 2nd +5 lesser to iron out the level split to TR since it was 4th life of monk and wanted to grab 10 lvl of ftr to TR him and pick up that past life feat instead of having a life that gave no benifit...

If i had some foresight on the recarnation problem i wouldnt of done the first +5 and had a playable charter to raid with but as it sit I did it on friday and found out about the bug the day after that obviously made it to live putting that toon in limbo for what i thought was only going to be for 1 week since friday but now it seem to be underterimind amount of time....

Can we change the undertermind amount of time to a determind amount atleast.....

Losing my main for an overly extended amount of time would only force me to seek other means of entertainment

    Thumbs up +1

    i aggree,

I was plannin on tring my main alt(long story) and now, because of this i cant.

Now before the forum fire starts burning, yes i know about the bug, and yes, i know what it had the possiblity of doing, however i was fine with having to regrind out some of my BtC gear that didnt fit in my bank tabs. i had my workarround planned out.

Its a bug, the game is full of them, but we dont see them closing abbot because we might not get are end rewards now, or turning of arti's cuz there pet used to glitch epic chests did we? so why would i assume that they would take out TR's all together without a end in sight?

Do you think they might be testing the heck out of it?

yes, they probably are test the heck out of it, but they have been testing the heck out it since friday when they found it, and according to dev replys on a diffrent thread, they have already found the problem, so is it too much to ask for an estimated ETA?

I'm betting this is the case. Maj said that they have it fixed internally. However, there are likely more pieces of the puzzle than what we see (maybe fixing TR meant breaking something else, and they're working to fix or subdue secondary breakages, perhaps).

It was a halo effect of a much worse TR bug, if you must know.
I would wager a guess that they are giving this a lot of priority, and it'll be a couple of days shortest, or next week at a maximum.

Depending on the halo effect that was discovered, yes, it may actually be too much to ask for an ETA right now.

Heck, I've been given "simple" jobs that in theory only should take a few hours, so that is what got budgeted. Then when I dive into it.. oh boy... up the budget by a factor of 10, and that may barely be enough time. Code isn't always obvious, esp when it has tendrils going out in odd manners.

Also, Major is a tester, not a developer. So Major really can't even give a response on ETA till he himself gets told by the developer assigned to fix it.

So I'm thinking two weeks minimum myself. Bummer I know, and I'm not about to say you shouldn't be upset/sad, but personally I don't want to risk losing gear and neither do they.

so have i, but in my line of work, if you dont deliver, you get replaced with someone who does. and a rough ETA is ALWAYS neccessary to plan schedule arround, imho

Let me know how well that works for you when per schedule, the product is always delivered to you late by months yet you are the one screamed at that you are behind schedule. So what do you deliver? Something solid or some crapware?

    ****es me off, personally.

    lol.

    'Quick fire everyone at turbine'...

    ..'how soon til that patch?'

'Six months, we fired everyone that knew the code, so have to retrain all the new people, and then fix any mistakes that get made in the learning process'.

    Good plan.

Everyone jumps on Turbine no matter what they say or dont say regarding timelines. If they said it would be in 5 hours, within 2 minutes 10 people would be slamming them for taking so long.

Releases have bugs, it takes a couple days to get anything done, and the release was yesterday.

Its a game. Not a delivery of critical parts that will cost someone lots of money if they dont get it right away.

If not this Friday, next Monday.

They may need to get a fix for the pre-order stuff in as well, once they figure out what the dealie is with that.

It would be nice if we could get some sort of dev input. We know they fixed the one bug,but have no idea about the more sedriuos
One mentioned. It might be this week, might be next week, might be at least two months away. Some rough non binding eta from a dev would be cool.

They aren't going to be able to get a firm date, just for the simple fact of if they do, and something else crops up that causes delay, the forum would be even more in an uproar.

I hope when they release the patch to fix this issue, they also fix the INCREDIBLY IRRITATING display bug on buff timers. It's vexing to see a bunch of 0s on there, and even worse than that is the fact that when you die your ship buffs do not go away but instead keep ticking down even though you obviously do not have the effects anymore.

My LR issue is a doozy ...... I went to LR into a Pali/Monk from Rogue levels and forgot to change alignment bofore the LR ... so I was shafted on that one .... then my 7 day timer expired right during the update with the servers down ............ so after waiting over a month to fix my toon ... many +5 LR's later I still need 1 more +3 LR to fix my 15/4/1 Fighter/Pali/Monk to 12/6/2 ... and I can't due to this bug .... grrrrrr

Everyone originally said just TR It'll be quicker.... **** them being right.

I've still managed to tank normal LoB and Elite Tod Suulo even with this gimped build lolz but for the love of DDO and all the players suffering my gimp tank .... release the fix ... we's neeeds the LR's

They delayed the hotfix that was scheduled for tomorrow, so it will not be tomorrow. Use the DEV TRACKER button at the top to see the DEV posts about it.
