It actually happened to me too, but I was sober. I swear the quantity jumped up to 2 AFTER I put in my card information.

And this is exactly why I just want to buy in the DDO store and not use paypal or click and buy.
If you close the window and then re-open it...click and buy then changes your quantity to 2.
It ALMOST got me. Since it ALMOST got me...I decided not to buy anything yet. Waiting to see if they offer a different payment option.

I bought the Collectors Ed ...well tried to...it ended up charging me $300 and no email confirming anything but the money is gone (paid out of my Bank Account)...put in a Ticket but really???
Why can we not buy it via Store?
Why can we not buy it from Turbine Account if not Store?
Why did it not say ...are you sure you wish to pay $300 for something before it went ahead and charged me?
Also I don't see that the purchase form as a Javascript popup from a non SSL page is in any way secure..!!

Something similar happened to me. I clicked on the collector's ed, but when the order went through it gave me 2 standards. What the hell?
Five and a half hours after having ordered and paid for it I now have an email that states:
Product SKU: DDO-MOTU-COLLECTOR
Product Name: Dungeons and Dragons Online™: Menace of the Underdark™ Collector's Edition - Digital Download
Qty Ordered: 3
At least I have three codes now, of course I only want one.
Like Expalphalog in his post, I did not choose to order multiple copies of the product.
Hoping that Turbine will act quickly to resolve this issue for those of us with this problem and fix the ordering mechanism that is far from satisfactory.
I too had the quantity reseting to 2 more then once when inputing the order. Thankfully I noticed this 'quirk' as it was more then a hundred dollars more on my total (TP also did this...).

Thanks for the heads up all, I've been planning on doing a pre-order as well but was waiting while I decided which package to go with. Think I'll wait a while longer and see if any of this gets sorted out, or if I make up my mind I'll proceed with caution.
FYI
After applying one of the codes to my account I logged in (waited an hour just in case as bit gun shy now) and yes got a Panther Head clickie to activate the Pre Order CE goodies...did that and NOTHING. No pets, figurine or any of the gear/items.

Had some issue also. Quantity jump to 2.
It seemed liked it was related to clicking on the Pre Order button more than once.
I think I had 2 windows opened up.
Anyway...I just closed down my browser and started the whole process again, making sure to only
click on Pre Order Now button once.
If turbine dosent pay me back. I am willing to sell my 2nd code to someone else.
It better if its actually money.
But i will accept epic scrolls as a trade.

With the Pre-purchase website, you will want to be careful not to reload the page or it does add to the quantity each time. Keep an eye on that quantity, and if it does go up, close the browser completely and start over, or open a new browser.
If extra copies were accidentally purchased, you can contact the Account Management team. They can look into it and see if they can assist with the extra copies. If you can, have the order ID ready and the email address you used for the purchase, that will help them get to the order faster.

same here. stepped away from the comp and restarted the order process. didn't notice the uptick on the number, since i didn't click it again. Will be calling tomorrow.
I did look into some more today and it seems like there is a small button just underneath where the quantity is. Its a double arrow button, kind of looks like a reset button. If you change the quantity and then click that button, it will reset the quantity to the new amount. Again, you will have to keep an eye on that quantity before submitting it, but this should get around having to use a different browser and starting over.
