Help with Horc Dark Earth monk

This is my next attemp.

A Half-orc monk PURE Earth and lightning stance (Grandmaster for both)

This build would be Tank and DPS oriented and having a decent AC

Im planning to grind alot for Gear

Stat

Str= 16 + 5 lvlup + 2 Horc + 6 item + 3 tomes = 32

Dex= 16 + 6 item + 2 tome -2 Earth stance = 22

Con= 16 + 6 item + 2 tome + 4 ES + 2 Achemical = 30 (200 Hp)

Int dump

Wis= 14 + 6 item + 2 tomes + 2monk = 24

ChA= dump

You are a HOrc. Go 18 str, you have the skill points for it. 18/16/16/6/14/6 should be possible. If not, wait to grind out some +3 tomes and LR. 18/15/15/6/14/6 is easily workable with +3 tomes for dex and con.

Drop a toughness feat for improved sunder.

57 ac is respectable, but if you want ac, go halfling dex/wis.

HOrc dark monks are a blast to play at cap. The only thing I find limiting is that my HP is a bit lower than I would like it, especially in gm wind stance.

If your looking to build a stat viable monk with gear goals in mind I would think that you would enjoy looking at the link in my sig. It is a 36 point build there but, can be adapted to whichever spread you like. I agree with above. But if you don't have the means. Do what you can and what makes sense within your means. You seem to have a good attitude with the gear situation, it takes takes pretty much all of my playtime which is not much these days to still farm towards items I can incorporate into the build. with a 32 point and where you have to grind the gear I would really really REALLY go half elf. And if not then at least a dwarf to just stack and I mean stack the hp.

Because leveling without the gear can be a real pain in the ass after lv 13 when you hit droam and up. I'd go horc on a 3rd life to really pack it in with the extra points in str. But first even second especially as earth i'd take the dwarf or the helf.

The horc power attack even with a ton of str still puts the hurt on your to hit. To use it id say u'd want the bonus to hit shint set and a +4 to hit item be it crafted or epic item.

i'm sure you are right ... but honestly i'm patient to get gear on a character i love ... but on a character that I dislike ... i just wont do it.

This build is the only way I think i can love a monk so i'm trying like this ... maybe i'm making a mistake but i'll try.

I take your advice for shin set and Crafted +4 ... im lvl a crafter right now .. and have a good friend of mine that is crafter ^^

Helf are just wrong to me ... i just ... Cant make one. I have nearly all pack un ddo. I've just purchased the collector of underdark with tomes of learning and packs i think i can make this pretty well. Anyway it's just a character to play waiting for the druid

I think i will have fun and im playing with a sorcerer and another monk on this toon EVERYTIME no exception so maybe i'll just try if im wrong ... i'll be wrong ^^

This character will be Gear dependant really axed on DR items and DPS ... with a decent AC it should be nice ^^
