I usually don't take the bait...but ok. Full regression = 6 months. At best. That means nothing new added to the code base for 6 months while we test it fully. Sound like a good plan? No?
Like people said, test server. More eyeballs is a good thing in my book. Thanks for finding this.
I have my concerns on how this was missed internally, I can completely see how it was, but there are a couple of systems I'm learning if they are even nudged slightly we need a full regression pass. That is unfortunate, and time consuming for us, but the nature of the beast with such a...mature...code base.
Amusing.
Hilarious Princess....Sorry your life is so medicore after all this time..Lol, you are scared of a farmer? with a tractor....?
You do know that during that 6 months of regression the code cannot change, so therefore the bugs will only be found not fixed. Then they can spend 6 months fixing the bugs and then 6 more months redoing the regression.
And while the regression is being done what are all the developers going to do? Take a 6 month vacation?

And I disagree, this is not what DDO needs. We have bugs, but nothing close to what you are suggesting. The reason you notice, is when we screw up, we like to go big.
What we need is an expansion...oh look on the horizon...

As Mal stated a few lines above me. No. It would be too expensive now and they risk losing peoples motivation to play the game with no new content. New content = more money. Money is bottom-line. The known issues list has grown so exponentially from the lack of (or rather NO) attention to it; that now fixing one bug can/will create 3 more. Kinda like that of saying 3 steps forward one step back, but in reverse. Here it's one bug fixed 3 new ones created. Frustrating yes. And it grows increasingly larger with each update. Unless the bug breaks the game seriously, or effects the DDO Store in any sort (well, except for anything you haven't bought already..missing Airships took ~2 months to remedy), most are at the bottom of the list and will stay there..
I assume that when Mal says "we won't let you TR,LR until it's fixed" is that they will disable the function until it's fixed. Or it's broken less.
(But I do have to give some credit, they did clear up 10-15 long standing bugs recently, just not enough to really show a difference.

Sure, if you don't mind paying, in advance, for $500,000 for lost subscriptions, while the rest of us who do NOT want to be stuck with the same content and no patches and no nothing for over 6 months AT LEAST, possibly quite a lot longer go play something else.
And best of all, EVERY TIME THEY ADD ANYTHING AT ALL, it would be another 6+ months of not adding anything. That's what it requires to not have any bugs - and guess what, even when you do that, even in mission critical multi-million dollar development projects, even after partial deployments go ok for 6 months, bugs STILL happen after the full deployment.
In the meantime, they'll be awaiting your certified check on Monday so they can begin implementing your suggestion.
Devs: Thanks for making Druids available to VIPs without the pack. This more than anything, has made me want to buy the pack.
+1 to Op.
What can I say - great find.
Very concerning though as to what else is going to be broken on the live.
As always will sit tight for a week or two and let others find out the hard way. Hoping their pain is minimal for the good of all- Well me at least
