Same here. Just TRed 2 characters on lammania, had the same issue with both, all inventory items gone, all items that were in the bank pre TR in the cache.

Something to add to this - I wanted to get back on Live and confirm it first.

Two items that were *not* in my bank appeared in my TR Cache - Boots of Minor Striding, and Broach of Waterbreathing. Yeah, the things that are always in your Inventory when you LR/GR. I'm guessing they have something to do with this issue.

I find it interesting how no one else discovered this, the known issues list from today doesn't reference LR/GR/TR at all.

For someone is so negative about Turbine, you have to be crazy to TR the day of an update...

I'm known far and wide as a Turbine fanboi, and even I would NEVER TR on an update day (or even the day after).

Let other fools find the bugs, dude...

I'm very careful about what I do before and on update day. I don't mess with the mail, and I try not to interact with the bank too much. I usually get on with one of my least favorite characters first too...

Most of the time actually I play something else that day, and check the forums to see if anything is broken.

Yeah, I don't log on to Oschkosch the day of an update for this reason.

He's my crafter - and multiple times on Lammania, they've "oops" on turning the crafting levels "up". So anyone who logged on before they increased the crafting levels would instead find their XP capped....at level 75. Even if they were much, much higher on Live. I'm always scared this issue is going to make it to live.

So yeah. Sadly, the best recourse is to wait and hope someone else finds the landmines before you do.

I expect a postponement of U13 again. March 5, U13 release date. This is huge!

    Well this is awesome....

I love the idea of avoiding the game most during the time you feel like playing most; since its new friggin content.

    Great...

If at least turbine reimbursed their customers that happened to be victims of this, then I wouldn't worry too much about getting slammed, since I'd be confident in the company's ability to roll back my character.

But, turbine hasn't figured out the prospects of that sorta behavior...did they?

The fact that you even have to take those precautions is lame, is the entire point. What do we tell the first person who actually does TR and finds out theres a bug in the system. "You shouldnt have TRed so soon after an update, its your own fault? And btw, thanks for being the guinnea pig for us."

We should all just roll up a decoy toon to play until the update hiccups are gone from the system.

I'm really hoping Turbine steps in and checks this out. At bare minimum, they should turn off the ability to reincarnate before the update goes live. Letting it go live like this and they having to deal with the massive negative repercussions would be disastrous. To any Turbine employees out there reading this, please take the steps necessary to prevent what could be a huge PR nightmare. A quick note from a dev saying they are aware of this would go a long way right now.

Name any MMO that hasn't had a major bug after at least ONE of it's updates..

I just play it safe... I don't expect a major bug every update, but I expect a major bug will show up occasionally. So I play it safe.

And don't get too angry about THIS bug... They snuck in a last update of Lamannia to catch stuff like this... I bet they get it fixed this weekend.

That's huge if it makes it on the live servers on Monday. I can just imagine the people saying buh-bye to their eSoS, eRSS, etc. that they spent hundreds of hours getting all the pieces for. I'd uninstall the game right there and then.

I might wait a few days as well. Either way when I do I will make sure my ESoS and other good stuff is in the bank not in the inventory.

Wow, just Wow and Holy ****

I truly hope Turbine postpones the update and does an update message on the launcher.

Just think about it, if only 5% of the player base sees this forum post..

    That's a lot of lost ****

Please don't band aid fix this by removing the Heart turn in Guy from house Jorascho

There ARE people who have ALREADY turned in their hearts waiting for the update with tome retention to go live.

They deserve some protection from this too.
