Tried a TR...and lost everything!

I know it would be extra work on a day that already has plenty of work and stress, but would it be possible to load the exact same build on Lamannia on Monday that goes live and wipe all of the characters so that anyone who wanted to try a TR on Lamannia could make a new copy and try it on Lamannia before they try it on Live?

Even if I see several reports of successful TRs, I know that I'll feel more comfortable TRing on Live if I've seen what happens when I TR the same character on Lamannia with the same exact build that is on Live.

Rushed out builds before release are always a huge risk for serious bugs. Turbine just does not learn from their mistakes.

Fyi, people have been reporting lost items through the TR process since it released. It is just an item here and there though instead of this massive wipe out the whole inventory thing.

I think Turbine dodged a bullet this time mostly through luck. I'd think the OP should get a lifetime VIP membership for finding this and reporting it in time to save Turbine massive amounts of stress and $. I can't imagine how many players might have just quit the game upon experiencing this bug. I can't remember if it was Madfloyd or Maj that said there could be some sort of compensation for people taking part in Lam testing. Well here's your first real chance to reward someone that found what could have been a game destroying bug in time to fix it.

Click the big link at the top for Forums.

Then, click on the Lamannia Dev Tracker. Dev posts in Lamannia related threads track through a different tracker. WAI.

There is nothing sneaky going on here trying to hide transparency.

So they either fix the bug or postpone the update as that is the only 2 options and the clock is ticking.

Is this affecting characters that have already TR'd but have items in their cache? I'm wondering if I should empty my TR caches before Monday.

Took my prized Elven AA Ranger and tried a TR, but when I went to the bank to get stuff from my inventory, all that was there was stuff from the bank. Anything in my inventory, like my epic items and my greensteel bow was gone!

EDIT: I do have reincarnation cache, but it only has stuff from the bank.

EDIT 2: After many of you confirmed the issue, I submitted a bug report.

Happened to me once on the live servers, though is was all my gear, nothing specific as you stated. A GM was able to correct the issue immediately, however.

Not when you can help it, but a guildie had a very bad thought. What would this release do to TRs with stuff still in the TR bank? Not a "gets TRed and lose stuff from character" but "I've already TRed, do I lose my bank?"

Would we lose everything we had in there? Something else to test please.

This was good to read. Efforts to evolve the overall customer service dialogue are noticed and appreciated.

Incorrect assumption. Read again, I did not say to TR again.

Given what has happened on Lama, should it get released, what happens to the banks of current TRs? Just apply the new load only. Do they lose what is in their bank or not?
