DR, is it really that good?

It's only good against single targets since big swarms of enemies take too long to kill that way, but against bosses, it's outstanding.

One bit of advice...work on your healing amp as a WF FVS.

I suggest a concord opp single handed weapon that is 10% healing amp, something neg, 30% Healing Amp. Pair that with Levik's Bracers while turtleing. When its time for Divine Punishment...swap to a Potency Weapon. Also it helps to have Docent of Corpsecraft on while doing this for SP for the Devotion.

BTW I generally just keep my Concord Opp Weapon on when DP-tanking and just hit Efficacy Clickies

But what I am getting at...WF with Healing amp and Devotion/Potency...you can still never run out of SP unless you get huge amounts of incoming DMG.

i was leaning towards the Quorforged Docent of Battle with an epic mask of comedy.
so healing amp is gonna be a bit of a slag to slot

Levik's Bracers seem easy to slot into the gear i already have.
unfortunetly this means more HoX

Human/Half Elf/whatever will also do very nicely with the Favored Soul capstone. You don't get those couple of extra points of DR from being Warforged, but the healing amp will make up for the very small difference in healing amp.

The free Greatsword proficiency is the big attraction for WF FvS to me. Half Elves also can pick up Greatsword proficiency.

but that dilly feat offers a bunch more than greatsword.
all melee Martial Weapons.
that puts carnifex and nightblade on the table for low level and all the really juicy high level stuff.

all that and access to healing word?

now there is the loss of some HP and DR to be concerned about.

(Combat): [Epic] Queen Lailat hit you for a total of 1 point of slash damage after 47 were blocked by damage reduction.

That's EDQ1...EDQ2 she hit's for maybe ~5-10...my torc loves it, she is best sp regen in game

Shield sets:
Leviks (27 blocking DR, 20% DR)
Epic swashbuckler (+4 insight to ALL save, +2 exp dex...also +4 AC but thats a drawback for torcing-although I have hit 61 AC before with bardsong and barkskin . It's a buckler though so no % DR from shield mastery-it's situational)

Docents:
QDOB: (+6 con, SFL and toughness is awesome)
Docent of defiance (20 DR is awesome in some places)
Fleshmaker docent with +10 reflex. Going all out self buff to around 45 reflex. Friendly pally and 50-51...no evasion but still **** useful-swap it in when EDQ2 lailat throws up gang signs-40 reflex is a lot better than 33 reflex there.

Weapons:
+6str/20% amp/+2 con concop (10% amp/+1 str/30% amp better, need to redo)
Ecove dagger for clickies and 4sp less DP
20% absorb dream edge/ 10%-15% GS kama for tod2

Belts:
Archmage (set only offers a bit more than arcane lore [bracelet of madness] but 1500+ DP crits are amazing)
Knosts (when QDOB is off, it goes on for 6con/GFL)

Rings:
rahkirs
Ebuccaneers for +7 dex mostly, +2 good luck isn't bad, green slot

I only took the 10/addy capstone DR, no enhancements or body feats. I use fireshield scrolls too much to have 35% spell failure and with DoD I have 20/- DR when I really need it. Generally I have more DR than fleshie fvs, but they also have much higher amp, and capstone 150-200pt free heals every 6s...wf get free shield spell (thanks for that) fleshie is better unless you already have a bunch of docents and don't feel like changing them to robes.
