does that affect the amount repaired? if not is it worth bothering with, and also since I repair myself 99% of the time? also is it worth ditching healer's friend to spend the aps on more pew pew?

It does not affect repairing.
I sometimes take it anyway, just to make a show of good faith towards healers and make WF a little less hated. But really, it's mostly wasted since my WF sorc does heal himself 99% of the time anyway.DDO: If a problem cannot be solved by the application of DPS, you're not applying enough.
