    Question cleric gear

OK, so I finally got the radiant servant Amrath belt, and now I'm agonizing over how to fit it in for raids. I'm hoping I can get some advice over what gear to get to round Mesana out and replace the things I'll lose by equpping the radiant servant set. Here's what she has now:

    Head: Minos Legens
Necklace: Lorrik's (I have the shield, so set bonus)
Trinket: Cunning Trinket (for a few sp and necro focus)
    Cloak: Greensteel HP +++
Belt: Vorne's (con +6, greater false life)
    Hands: Gauntlets of Eternity
    Boots: Cannith Propulsion
    Wrists: Str +6
Armor: Epic Mournolde Fullplate (protection +5, resistance +5, soon to be upgraded to tier 2 with colorless slot, and tier 3 gives a blue slot)
Goggles: Con Opp greensteel SP item
Ring1: Chr +5 (5 gives me even #, but when I equip the Radiant ring it'll be odd, so I need to up this to a +6)
Ring2: Ring of Thelis (for a few sp and SR)

My usual weapon equip is Lorrik's sheild and tier 3 Epic Ornamented Dagger (yellow slot). I also have a Greater Evocation Focus scepter, Belashyrra's Scepter (necro), and Spell Pen VII Scepter to switch to when needed.

My problem is, when I equip the Radiant Servant set, I'll lose the Con +6, greater false life from the belt; spell resistance, and a few SP from the Ring of Thelis. I'm not too sad over the Ring of Thelis as it's only 25 SP and I can cast the SR. But losing the Con +6 and greater false life is unacceptable, especially in a raid. I've been thinking about ditching Lorrik's, in which case I'll have a necklace slot open. If I upgrade all my current epic items, I'll have a colorless, yellow, and blue slot. I can get the Con +6 from the colorless, and I really wanted the Evoc focus from the yellow. Blue is up in the air, but it's looking like I'll get rid of Minos eventually. If I absolutely have to, I'll use the yellow for greater false life, but I'm hoping someone out there knows a better way.

Someone also just told me about the Cannith challenge trinket which if upgraded, has a green slot. That may be the way to go. Also, I can go back to my DT armor and grind for the Con +6 and greater false life runes but then I'd have to find a place for the +5 resistance.

Does anyone out there have any advice? I'm banging my head against a wall trying to figure the best way to go.
    Thanks!

Do you really need the set at all?

The clicky on the belt is wonderful, but you can just swap the belt on, use the clicky, and swap back to your +6 Con belt.

To me, 1 extra turn, though nice, isn't really all that compelling, and a bonus on turn level is even less appealing.

If you were going to give up the HP belt for a caster-ish belt, I'd suggest the Archmage set to be way more useful than the Radiant set. More pain on DP & BB crits.

    Default Profit?

    Same sentiment: Don't.

    1. Use the clicky,
    2. Put the important belt back on.

That works, thanks. I don't know why I was worried, that's what I do now anyway with Amara's. I was just excited about actually getting the set, but you're right - the set bonus is worthless anyway.

Anyone have any general gear suggestions? I think I will get that Chime from the challenges for the extra epic slots, and I'm still working towards the bauble and torc. Anything else I should be working towards?

Might consider dragontouched armor if your do want to give up the necklace in the future.

Could rock say.. Deathblock(Or heal amp for your aura?), Empower heal -2, Lorick's(retain set bonus) on your armor. You might want to look at the +7 Wis Helm/ Cha Ring in VoN, as their.. well.. +7 base stat. so with an exceptional +1 CHA item(Colorless slot), and say the +2 exceptional WIS(ToD ring), and another colorless for +1.. looking at 8 Cha, and 10 Wisdom.

But that'd also be major gear switch-age to make it work.

I play a very tanky-cleric so I doubt my final plan will help you.. but feel free to steal/copy/clone/whatever my end game plan, if for no other reason, than to lay out your own.

    Greetings,

This is only my opinion so you can have other possibilities.

Neck: When you get torc, of course Ditch the Set.

Shield: Leviks. I am not sure if it has the same DR as Lorriks but the random proc heal is very nice.

Wrist: 200sp bracers of the Glacers or the 20% heal amp leviks

Hands: Ditch the gauntlets. Grab some Arcane Lore on Weapon slot or somewhere else. It also works as a Lore for Healing. Honestly, I don't rely on Crits on healing, Mass Heals and Heal usually overheals most toons. Superior Ardor > Superior Devotion. It is a 3 minute buff, not the 1 minute buff like Efficacy. So it is easier to maintain.

Ring: Another TOD Ring that has wisdom? Slot it with +2 Con

Trinket: Litany litany litany. The raid is really terrible but hey, Litany. Or the cove trinket that gives you a little HP and stoneskin Proc.
I know it is easier to get the chime, but if you want a slot on the trinket maybe check the epic sands trinket, Dusk heart that has superior false life? Epic vollun shard? Epic jerky?

Regarding the set. Yes it is a big MEH! But I use the set when I am raiding. You can't discard the value of +3 empowered/maximised/empowered healing Bursts. I use it especially when healing epic ADQ. Saves me a lot of mana.

    Cheers!

According to the wiki, Levik's and Lorrik's have the same DR - blocking 15, base 8. I'm getting the Healer's Bounty from my armor right now; it would be too good to be true if they stacked. (?)

I'd been trying for ages to get the Lorrik's rune for my DT armor, like Sgt_Hart advised, but I finally gave up. Only 8 more DQs and hopefully the Torc will be on my list and I'll ditch the Lorrik's set.

I hadn't even thought of the Glaciers, that's a good idea. If I can find something else with arcane lore that's reasonable for me to get I'll go for it.

Yes! to a second ToD ring, as soon as I can get it.

Epic Dusk Heart is also a good idea, as I already have the item. I'll put that as a long term goal, since it's grindy. I must say, I'm not much for grinding when I have no idea how long it will take. I don't have a lot of time to play, only 10 hours a week or so. It seems more realistic for me to shoot for a 20th run, at least I have a goal to work for and I know it'll most likely happen even if it does take a couple of months. That's why I only have the easy epics so far.

    Thanks Arjiwan!

Head: Minos Legens Solid helm. Keep this until you're far into Epic gear.
I recommend crafted Pirate Hats from Crystal Cove. End game goal should be EHelm of Moranon (+7 WIS, only slot in game for it)
Necklace: Lorrik's (I have the shield, so set bonus) Solid. Consider Shintao Cord as swap if you want; it's CON +6/Concentration +15.
Trinket: Cunning Trinket (for a few sp and necro focus) Good idea. Greater Stalwart also works; some recommend Litany but I don't; too much grind, unless you like Abbott. Keep in mind you can make Greater Focus crafted trinkets for most of your spells, swap these as needed for +2 DC's. Greater Enchantment Focus is available on Eardweller and Shard of Xoriat, so you can avoid crafting this as both are solid items.
    Cloak: Greensteel HP +++ Solid.
Belt: Vorne's (con +6, greater false life) Fairly solid. Use Cleric belts as clickies.
Hands: Gauntlets of Eternity Grab Epic Brawling Gloves. These are +7 STR and Sneak Attack +4, as well as giving a very valuable yellow slot.
Boots: Cannith Propulsion Solid. I recommend lootgen Striding 30% of Balance +7, but Propulsions are nice. The Balance is for getting on your feet.
Wrists: Str +6 Direct upgrade is Levik's Bracers- adds 20% HAmp to STR +6. Grab Bracers of the Glacier too, for Archmagi.
Armor: Epic Mournolde Fullplate (protection +5, resistance +5, soon to be upgraded to tier 2 with colorless slot, and tier 3 gives a blue slot) Recommend ECavarly Plate. Too much benefits on that to lose; comes with Resist +5, Superior False Life, and DR 5/Chaotic along with a Blue slot. Also, if you want AC, it's the best for that, giving 16 Armor AC and up to 5 DEX AC if you slot it Greater Nimbleness.
Goggles: Con Opp greensteel SP item Solid.
Ring1: Chr +5 (5 gives me even #, but when I equip the Radiant ring it'll be odd, so I need to up this to a +6) Fix your enhancements then, or grab a tome that's 1 higher than your current. CHA +6 can be slotted on EBrawlers, so equip EBuccaneer for some DEX, Protection +5, +2 luck to skills, and a green slot.
Ring2: Ring of Thelis (for a few sp and SR) I use ToD rings, but have both more focus on being able to melee and the fortune to have pulled Kyosho's Ring on my 20th list for ToD, along with having both Cleric rings before then. My slots are Exceptional CHA +2 on both Cleric rings and Exceptional STR +2 on the Kyosho's, your ideas may differ.

My usual weapon equip is Lorrik's sheild and tier 3 Epic Ornamented Dagger (yellow slot). I also have a Greater Evocation Focus scepter, Belashyrra's Scepter (necro), and Spell Pen VII Scepter to switch to when needed.

I went with two Min II Rapiers, Holy/Exceptional CON/WIS +1/Exceptional CON/WIS +2. Your ideas may be different.

Hmmmm... Comments in Red, but keep in mind I have a much different build than you may.

I don't think same effects stacks. So don't bet on it. 10 hours a week is a decent amount of time. You'll get there. Since you are not in a hurry.

All I'm saying is, you are going to invest some time, might as well invest it to something better, or perhaps a stepping stone? Same with me, I have no idea that I will run epics and have no plans on running them, but hey, I ran epic now.

10 hours a week is a decent amount of time IMO.

Edit: I really do hate the lottery system of the DT armors. I rather play the lottery system of epics. Different strokes to diff folks

Oh, adding the Lorrik's DT rune to the Necklace and Shield will not be redundant. It will toggle the three-piece set bonus, which is Superior Devotion VIII. The two-piece bonus is Improved Devotion VIII.

Cleric TOD set bonuses are meh.

Lorriks set bonus is meh-torc is far better. Leveks shie

Gauntlets of eternity are meh. Superior devotion VI...but you have Sup Pot VI on cove dagger. Major Healing lore...nice for aura...but I've never found it that important, plus you DO have arcane lore on the dagger. It's a perk. Maybe swap GS in here and Eenvenomed/Enight to cloak.

Belt-knosts/vornes ect till you can slot GFL/con+6 elsewhere...then archmage belt (w/ ring) is pretty nice.

    Habreno:
My build is definitely more caster focused, rather than melee focused. But I think I have an extra pair of Epic Brawling Gloves and I think that would be worth it just for the extra yellow slot.

I need to get off my ass and start running VoN for the Helm, but I cringe. That's my second-least favorite raid in the game, despite being the most beautiful.

The Levik's Bracers are a great idea, the 20% healing amp would help me out in those tight situations. Switch Glacier out with that after buffs, and I'm set.

I have some Epic Cavalry Plate, I'll look into putting that back on. I don't remember why I took that off, but I'm sure I had a good reason at the time... (riiiiiight)

A +4 Wis or Chr tome is something I'll be looking for in my 20th ToD.

    Arjiwan:
Stepping stone is my current idea for the Chime while I work toward the Epic Dusk Heart. I've already gotten half the ingredients just running with guildies, so it won't take much longer to finish that off. It seems epic tokens aren't too hard to come by, especially with the trade-ins in House C. I've almost gotten enough for 2 slots, even with my playstyle/playtime. I just haven't decided what to put on them

    MRMechMan:
I've been told a few times now to get the Archmage set, I'll definitely look into that.

Thanks everyone, you've all been a huge help!

hi, I just wanted to throw some of my findings and some semi untested ideas into this. I am building a larger post that talks more about my build, and why I chose certain items... but that is foreshadowing for why I did not go with certain items.

    Phase 1:
When I get a character to 20th I try and set goals that will give me stats and abilities that allow me the time and ability to farm the top tier items we all want. So water marks I went for as a caster/healer cleric was 400+ HP, at least a +6 con, wisdom, and cha item, and Wizardry 6 item. I also wanted at least greater devotion 5, and the level 11 item 3 piece set that gives greater potency 6 is nice too. I got DT armor my first life, and I went with FP +25% movement which is often items important to both get some where fast enough, or keep away from mobs on you. It also also had +1 Exceptional Wisdom, and Spell Pen 7. However, you can find a lot better combos out there, I did not spend a lot time trying to get the perfect combo, I had bad luck on what I kept getting over and over and over again so I said stuff it. lol

I also used the mace from the Invader quest, which just needs completions to get enough tokens to buy it, and it gives you +9% to criting on your healing spells most importantly.

This basic gear was enough gear for me start farming my 2nd phase gear which is where I am currently still. I will talk more about the 2nd phase in a second, but this gear can all be gotten by the time you are 20th for sure.

    Phase 2:
I also set watermarks that I want to reach and keep when I leave Phase 2 as a min. I wanted to keep my +6 Wisdom item, since exspecially +7 wisdom items are so hard and rare to get, I also wanted to keep my DT armor on which has +1 Exceptional Wisdom on it. I gained my +2 Exceptional Wisdom item through the eRaven Sight goggles, due to another item it will have the set bonus which is neither awesome nor bad for a caster/healing cleric. That means I have +9 from items, +3 from enhancements, +5 from levels, +3 from tomes, and my starting Wisdom of 18... which gives me a 38 Wisdom without ship buffs. When I get my ToD ring I will add a +2 Exceptional Constitution to it which will give me a 425 HP with only a greater life item on, and without a GS HP item which I will make a Min II item for heavy fort. I will also be wearing the Calvry tier 3 FP, which has Superior life on it, but I do not want to lose my Exceptional Wisdom bonus since I pulled a +3 wisdom tome from hard HoX the other night. So with the difference between the two life items, and the GS HP item I will have 480 HP, and I started with a 16 Constitution, and I will have a +8 con due to items. I also only have Toughness once too in case you are wondering. I just have to wait until I get to my 20th Shroud.

I have a fairly lucky pull, and another toon that can get into any eChrono group that comes up, so this next portion may not be an option for you, but I only need the Seal for Gem of Many Facets to make that item epic. That item meets all of the set bonus requirements for Redfens, that means you only need 1 item to recieve their bonuses. Hintz why I will get the set bonus from my Goggles. I also am going for the Ring of the Mire, and the Sacred Helm. Yes I know that the Mask of Comedy has superior 7 devotion now, but I as well will the uGloves of Eternity which also has Superior Devotion 6, so the difference between Greater Devotion 8 and the mask when you have those gloves is very little in my opinion

The "Mire" set has a nice group of bonuses which gives +30% Strider, and Underwater Action which is meh... but frees a slot in your bag if nothing else. The item that gives it has a nice ring with 10 points of DR vs piercing weapon like arrows, +3 Epic Fortitude, and a guard that casts Stone Skin on you fairly often. Overall there are plently of top tier items that can replace this item, but for phase 2 it is perfect imo.

The "Greater Divining Blessings" set from the Sacred Helm gives you, your Greater Devotion 8 which is very solid. The item itself gives Death Block, Eternal Faith which is turly top shelf for those who wish to turn undead, and Radiant Guard which is also something for Undead.

The Raven's Sight which is goggles gives +4 insight bonus to hit, and a +3 insight bonus to Search and Spot. However, the item gives +2 Exceptional Wisdom, +3 Epic Will save, and True Sight which is meh for a cleric like myself.

I am also True Neutral, so I am aiming for the shield Light and Darkness which has Superior Stability... that is +6 deflection and +6 resistance if you are True Neutral, it also gives you +4 Resistance and Protectiion, but that is same bonuses found in the Stability so they do not stack. The Upgrade is DR 5/EPic, which is solid, it is both Mithril and Adamantine and counts as a +5 Large shield... so that means it is +12 or if TN it means it is +14 AC bonus by itself.

I made my cloak a SP, Con Oop, GS item... I took the first level with negative so I can have some immunities on it, over the the Wizardry 6 bonus since once I get my bracers that would be wasted.

My Belt will be a HP, Min II, GS item... for the Heavy Fort and +45 HP.

My Bracer is the Bracer of the Glacier which has Archmagi, Spell Pen 7, and a Fire Shield guard (cold)... All three of these bonuses are more impotant than they have their uses. Sure you can get a belt from ToD with Archmagi on it, but the sets suck for clerics imo. Spell pen 7 is strong since normally two main spells I cast are Cometfall (level 6), and Destruction (level 7) since nothing stops a pursing mob like being knocked down, and Destruction can rid yourself of a pesky Fire Elemental faster than a melee. Lastly Fire Shield would be better if it was a clicky like on a certain cloak... but proc is fine. Anyways, it will free you from a web, or allow you to go through one casted without fear if proc'd... oh and there is benefit of the spell too. lol

I currently do not have it all so I use a random like my bracers and my stupid gloves, heh, so I have to fill that space the best I can until I get them. I got super lucky from a eDA and pulled a Archmagi randomly made item which is pretty crazy imo.

I am waiting to see what comes out for the third Phase, but I am looking hard at the eMroranon Helm from Von6 being that it is one of the extremely rare items that has +7 wisdom on it.

i use the silver flame cleric set. i get a lot of mileage out of the ardor 75% and 3 extra turns.

i also wear the tempest set. it provides the 6 con, exceptional wisdom but also a useful 15 balance and 6 dex which helps greatly in the knockdown and reflex save department.
