uncaring master bugged

I got a message that i have taken hp and sp damage when my pet died. I was already dead thanks to neg levels when my pet died. I checked my character sheet and i have uncaring master enhancement.

any one else had this happen?

Yep, dumped the enhancement because I really couldn't tell it did anything. I don't use the dog for anything other than 'Go pull that lever I forgot to get' currently, so it has limited effect on me.

I get this message on live too, but no loss of my HPs or SPs actually occurs.

Make sure you keep an eye on it, I was loosing about 15% sp and 10% health with the AP spent.

Ran my pet into the cannith manufactury and just let him die watching my hps and mana the whole time.

No hp or sp loss is incurred even if it states there is...So yes it is bugged but the bug is simply the notification

I'm not crazy though, there are circumstance where it can occur. Trap in HiPS is where I dumped it cause Bullitt ran through the meat grinder, got smoked and vicariously smoked the rest of my mana while I was disarming the trap. I went and dumped it immediately afterward.

Yep, I still see that message, but get no loss of HP/SP. Would love to see that message change to:

Severed Bond
Your pet has died, and you simply don't care.
