I'm rather surprise by this comment. Have you actually ran 20 times a raid? The item list you get at 20th has about only 50% chance of having that one item you want. And the chances vary from one raid to another. Ran 60 ToDs, still don't have that Kyosho or a single +4 tome... Tod Rings, Torc, and madstone boots are typical items that most players need multiple 20th to get because even with that big list you still have a high chance of not getting it.

well when he said that there was a chance that they might get the raid item they might be after on for the first time theres still a very good chance they don't get it anyway. He never said 100% full list on first completion, in fact 1-4 so a much much smaller list than the 20th list and a much, much smaller chance to getting what you want anyway.

But everyones ZOMG!!! you might get what you want straight away and never run the raid again!!! um yeah but even if this was implemented it still would be very unlikely. Ive seen people run vod for their first time and pull what they wanted the thranes googles is this suppose to be a bad thing? So should we tamper with the drop rates for stuff in the chest because we don't want people running too few completions and getting what they want right? should we make it mandatory for the raid to be run over 20 times before you even get a *chance* at named loot dropping in your chest?

And make it so that named loot can't be traded to you untill you have done your 20+ completions? Because heaven forbid someone gets their ring on their 16 run so they will *never* run the raid again and the raid will die because everyone is getting their lootz.


If its just one random piece of loot how likely is it going to be something that the person is after anyway?

Someone mentioned the Epic SOS being made after running von6 once um geez how likely is it that they are going to get the SOS *and* the shard in one run? Not to mention they have to farm the scroll and the seal as well? Have some prespective people. The reward lists are so diluted with useless and unwanted items that it cuts down people getting what they want more than enough even if someone got 1 random piece of loot for their very first completion or even a partial list of 1-4.

On some charactors ive gone 20th after 20th even up to 80 and never seen what I want even anything remotely useful and I know of people up to 160 completions still no item and they even have everything to make it epic. I bet if this was implemented there still will be a lot of people like us. So I wouldnt worry it still will be a grind lottery as ever.

I'm not sure why you're quoting me before saying that, I'm well aware of that and haven't said otherwise.

my ranger got his tempest ring in his first tod. ive been back there on him only when my other toons were on timer and i was part of a guild raid train. he only has a hand full of completions.

most of the raid loot i got for my toons were under 20 runs. the exceptions was when my barbarian didnt get her encrusted until her 80th completion and my fighter got his madstone boots on his 40th. most of the raid loot i got i either pulled myself or won in a roll.

i dont do hound/vod/reavers unless the difficulty is on hard/elite for the +3 tome chance. actually, i stopped doing reavers when all my toons got the loot i wanted them to have and only went back recently for seals, which none of my toons need anymore. currently im back to running tod on whatever difficulty on my barbarian because i need a new kyoshos and have something different in the crafted slot.

now that tomes can carryover when you tr, whats the point in me doing the raids when i already have the loot? elite vod is my favorite raid, but i dont do it very often, mostly with guild when the raid train is running. for a long time i was just running tod on hard/elite for increased chance of +4 tomes. its not that i am not having fun doing these raids, its just im busy token farming at the moment and raids are low on my to-do list since the only thing i care about trying to get are +3/+4 tomes.

people will run raids for the loot that they want and some will run raids just for the fun or the boredom because they see a raid up on the lfm. taking me for example, instead of raiding every 3 days as soon as i was off timer trying to pull raid loot that i wanted and piling completions, i now have better things to do.
