Seal of Mirage dropped in elite Wiz King

Every once in a while, quests get confused about their own difficulty setting. I've seen Epic Ward on spiders in sleeping dust. I've seen epic token fragments drop in an elite Partycrashers.

It's not common and I know that they did try to fix it at one point, but it doesn't shock me to hear what you described.

It used to be seals dropped in Desert chests no matter what difficulty you were doing. For the most part, this has been fixed. Occasionally though, I hear stories like the OP's.

Honestly, I'm not surprised at all.

Hmm, guess we know what happens now when someone leaves a seal in a chest and doesn't claim it...

Exactly this. I have only seen it once before, a LONG time ago. It was a Spectral Gloves seal in a hard OOB. I've heard others get seals in desert or VoN chests (since they're the only ones that have seals in the side chests), but not for a while.
