Melee duo ToD

[Lighti]

Although this was duo it felt like we eached soloed it. Due to there being 2 things to do/kill in each Part we were completely independant and couldn't help each other.

The Charecters
Satureon - Eternal Infinity - Warforge - 18 Fighter/2 Rogue - 89 AC Unbuffed
Lightazk - Arise - Dwarf - 20 Fighter - 90 AC Unbuffed


Part 1
Pretty straight forwards, divide and conquer.

- I entertained the Judge and Jailer whilst Sat went on an elemental killing spree (evasion ftw)
- Satureon took the Judge and pounded him (muhahahah he can enjoy the chains)
- I was on Jailer duty
- When Hounds spawned we Limbchoppered them (3 legged dogs) and ignored them
- Final step. LOOT


Part 2
Im blown away that we completed this part, especially how close it was. (Sat will explain)

- Sat bravely tanked the shadows at the bottom of the steps sucking Silver Flame pots like they're going out of fashion. He has nerves of steal! (literally, He's warforged)
- I beat on the Shadowmaster till he puffed into smoke.
- 2 Shadows made it past Sats grip but they were easily dispatced as they were onloy one at a time

Sounds easy, was nervous as hell.


Part 3
After Part 2 this felt like a cake walk. Yet again, divide and conquer.

- I buffed up and went toe to toe with the First General of Shavarath
- Sat whipped out his trusty Limbchopper, arms and legs flew as the orthons were smote to 3 limbed snails
- Sullo drops and Sat has another mob to run from (great SS of him fleeing with Sullo hot on his tail)
- Finally Horoth is defeated and lies at my feet.

Nice post Lighty!
Was really funny and intense. It was our 2nd attempt.

Resources used overall:
- Lightazk 217 SF (pt1 20, pt2 10, pt3 rest)
- Satureon 130 SF, 100 recon scroll (pt1 30recon, pt2 130 SF, pt3 70recon)

pt1:
We had some lag as forgot to reset client, and definitely went better in our previous attempt.
Dogs really wanted to eat&burn Mr. Lighty, even they had 3 legs, and Judge acted like a mad lover when he touched the Jailor's soft skin and his friends inside

pt2:
Oh well that was really stressy, needed to do some math to not fail under the piles of shadows. This part consumed all of my SF what i carried on (mainly this is the main reason why not killed Suolo)
It was quite cold compared with pt1. (this part was when my finacée said:"At least now i know why your hair turn to gray soon...")

pt3:
Seriously i really love chains, grazing hits and natural roll 20s. Not so funny to scrollheal there, but finally we convinced Horoth by some diplomatic act to give us some loot or we kill his best friend, Suolo...

Just need to quote this for all those who fear that high AC will make something too easy.

Get a clue folks, there was a hell of a lot of healing and skill needed to pull this off.

I almost wish Shade was still around to post some nonsense about how barbarians could do this better.

Not to take away from the Horoth fight, but Hamstring was probably rather effective. ^.^

I dont have Hamstring, Sat was at far end of room. No Hamstring involved with horoth.
And besides having Hamstring wouldnt help much anyway. Most the damage i took was spells and his DoTs. We are both AC tanks so melee damage isnt a problem

Very impressive! Heck, I still haven't solo-healed a ToD, much less duoed it...

(One more thing on my DDO Bucket list now. That list is getting entirely too long )
