I am getting conflicting information on this. If you take the elven arcane archer enhancements will the imbue effect (not conjure arrows) work on crossbow bolts? Is it a buff that effects your ammo slot or is it a change that just occurs to your arrows?

No. Repeater with slaying arrows would be borderline overpowered. It would be on an artificer.

Officially Imbues now only work with Bows. Originally they functioned on repeaters as well but that was before they added more imbues other than the original imbue force arrows.

No. It's called "imbue arrows" for a reason. Too bad, I thought it would be funny to have a thrower build who imbued throwing axes, just to confuse people.
