new gear for Arty

Hi. At level 13, I think my Arty has outgrown the Abishai set. To replace them, I would (of course) need:

Headgear
Cloak
Gloves
Gauntlets
Boots

I was wondering if any could offer me suggestions on what to get and where to get them. If it helps, I am looking for deathblock items, items that can help my saves, and items to increase my running speed (painfully slow). Any advice you could give would be appreciated.

Some obvious choices would be:
Minos Legens for your head (Heavy Fort and +HPs)
+4 Resist Cloak
Striding Boots

Depending on what you have for +6 stat items where you could use +dex on gloves and +str on arms. If you have str covered elsewhere the windhowler bracers might be nice to use.

I like the Minos Legens - a definite for my to-do list. Wind Howler may work, since STR is not that much of an issue for me - I am primarily pewpewpew and don't see that changing any time soon. Striding boots of FF would kill 2 issues in one...

Bracer (guessing this is what you mean by gauntlets?): Wind Howler. Nothing else does what this does.

There's lots of choices for the others. The way my Arti gears those slots at that level:

Head, Gloves, (Ring1): Sora Kell set.
Boots: Boots of the Innocent
Cloak: Cloak of Night

Neck is where my heavy Fort is for now with a Nightforged Gorget. If I didn't have the cloak of night, I'd probably go Silver Flame neck for deathblock and put the heavy fort on a belt.

Another poor man's option for boots could be the Pathfinder's Boots with a Gem of Many Facets, if you don't have a strong trinket yet. I wore that for longer than I care to admit. (And if you're doing that, consider Nimble Hand if you don't yet have the Sora Kell set.)

Yeah (heh heh) meant "Bracers" instead of "Gauntlets". I at first questioned why Wind Howler was so important... then I considered its vorpal buff - this sounds insane on an Arty - great call. I also really like the Sora Kell set... I just really really really hate that undermine quest, but ya' gotta do what ya' gotta do.

+4 Resist Cloak

You could also just get the Stormsinger Cloak from Assault on Summerfield. It's +4 Resistance *and* sonic guard.

Longstrider (approx 20% striding) will last you 12 minutes and are for sale in the marketplace. Expeditious Retreat scrolls (approx 25% striding) will last you 6 minutes. (You might also find some CL:5 wands in the AH. Those should last 9 minutes.)

For deathblock on a fleshie you cannot go wrong with the Silver Flame Talisman. It absorbs up to 10 Enervates/Energy Drains plus deathblock. You can do all three charges in the Cursed Crypt.

Put me down as another supported of the Minos Legons for your helmet. 20 extra HP is always a good thing.

+6 DEX can show up on ML:13 gloves.

Also the Marksmanship enchantment on the Windhowler Braciers works with crossbows. And you can dispell fog effects with the clickie. So that is a triple win.
