    Default Wizzy Docents

Are there any "must have" / "Should get" docents for warforged wizzies?

Mine is running around right now with fortification and ... I can't remember something else useful but not game changing.

I am wondering if there isn't something I should be looking to gear him with.

    Default Caster Docents

I suggest either the Epic Bladesmark Docent from House D, or the Epic Diabolist Docent from The Chronoscope.

The Epic Bladesmark is more as slot consolidation, and The Epic Diabolist is one of the few +7 int items, and the +3 Conjuration DC is really nice for webs.

    Epic Bladesmark:
    +6 Enchantment Bonus
    Lifeshield
    Superior False Life(+40 HP)
Vertigo +15( +15 DC to Trip)
    Epic DR/5
    Reinforced Plating +2
    Colorless Slot
    Blue Slot

    Epic Diabolist's Docent:
    +7 Int
    Epic Conjuration Focus(+3 Conjuration DC)
    Blue Slot
    Colorless Slot

The two epic docents mentioned above are great for a capped character. I have the diabolist on my web SLA spamming archmage and it rarely gets swapped out.

Until you get there, other good options:

Base Blademark docent, is great until 20, honestly.
Dragontouched of course, for some slot consolidation or if you get a lucky Sovereign rune drop.
Unsuppressed quoforged docent of battle - another good slot consolidator, and easier to get than the epics.
Fleshshaper docent with +10 reflex save is really nice swap item for certain encounters.
The Silver Legion - Guild Medieval
    Arisan - Arisanna - Arisanto - Arisgard - Betatest
    Cannith

Dragontouched is nice, Epic Diabolists is great especailly for web, Blademarks/Epic/Normal works wonder, even until 20th, Docent of Defiance if your looking for somekind of DR, and if your a PM the Epic Docent of Shadow is nice too.

Easy to get, and pink! Combine it with a captains chapeau from the cove for maximum fabulousness

I also rather like the infused chaos docent on my sorcerer, and you can add a couple of handy caster-type bonuses to it
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

It turns bluish green after you unsuppress it.

I assume you are talking about a capped char. If it evens you out and you are an archmage, diabolists docent is way to go unless you have an Estaff of inner sight.

QDOB and Eblademarks are FAIRLY close; you need to slot Eblademarks for it to be clearly better, so if you don't have tokens to spare on that char don't bother with Eblademarks just get QDOB.

Enight docent for palemasters is quite win.

Could always go red if you want a bit of flair. Docent of defiance can be situationally rediculously good.

All are pretty easy to get except DoD ($$$), redscale docent ($$$$$) and maybe Eblademarks (don't have pack so idk). Diab easy mabar easy QDOB easy.

If you weren't talking about capped than lifeshield of invulnerability is solid, particularly with large guild aug.

    Morleth's Docent: level 1 -5
    Blademarks Docent: level 5-18
unsurpressed Quorforged Docent of Battle: 18-20
Slotted Epic Blademarks Docent OR epic docent of the diabolist OR Epic Docent of Shadow: level 20*

*Depends on preference/PRE, docent of shadow is sweet for PM's, eDiabolist is handy if it pushes your int up a bracket, QDB is awesome as slot consolidation.

Except you can make the surpressed version white by toggling the 'armor appearance kit' button in your inventory, so really, the being pink of the main docent is not to much of a hindrance (of course, it will revert to pink when you log back in... so toggle it after you log in to make it white again.)

    Hmmm morleths docent isn't bad.

Guess can put invulnerability on light mithral shield, but then can't switch to 2hander when you want to melee, and you want to have that 5 DR going ALL the time as it is night and day below level 5.

Wizardry II and lesser arcane sigil aren't bad but I never find myself strapped for SP and the composite spell failure % can be removed when in korthos.

Invulnerability is the difference on a 10 AC character to being hit for 0s and 1s or 5s and 6s. When you have 40-50 HP thats huge. It is the most important item at low levels to have and you really do want it on all the time.

But I guess korthos/harbor is pretty easy either way

    Thanks.

Right now he's just barely 16th level. I was running with an invulnerability and false life docent for ever (I think). And the Diabolists as well.

He basically had a full chrono (non-epic) set until a level ago and is in the process of swapping it out for better gear which I really should have started around level 12 or so I am thinking.

Epic Diabolists looks good to me (I am an Archmage with major in force and minor in the Conjuration). Right now my int Item is the transmuters staff so it would be nice to replace that with a docent and free up my hands for a little more specialized boost.

This works on the un-suppressed version as well.

Unsuppressed Quorforged Docent of Battle is difficult to let go of. Superior False Life, +6 Con, Toughness in one item slot that doesn't have much competition until you can make some epic gear.

Yea just the enhancement...think you need a couple AP spent and thus can't take it RIGHT away, but pretty early.

It's the one I forget to take half the time when resetting enhancements on a wf arcane.

Died? Oh...right, 5% chance of recon failing, happened again

IMHO a Cannith Crafted Lifeshield of Invulnerablility with a guild augment slot is the best you can do until level 14ish when mobs start to get magical weapons. It can be used until replaced by DT armor. At level 18 I would unsuppress the Quor Forged Docent. I have one on my 20 WF PM and I love it.

Docent of corpsecraft is pretty good for mid level necro wizzies, and also Docent of the Gorgon (has a nice stoneskin guard on it)

Also the blue dragonscale docent is pretty good for a wizzy.

    "Hikari datte, yami datte, kitto"

    Into light, into darkness, surely.
