Time for some number testing with the new Tomes.

Fresh level 4 character right off the boat.

Lesser Tome of Learning consumed, 10% exp pot consumed.

Quest: Bringing the Light Normal, first completion

Base exp: 298 exp
One level over: 269 exp (-10% base = -29 exp, correct)
First time bonus: 343 exp (+25% base = +74 exp, correct)
Tome bonus: 475 exp (+45% base = +132 exp, not +25% = +74 exp, incorrect)

Upon completion: 522 exp (+10% pot = +47 exp, correct)

Edit: Math on tome is showing 10% bonus from flawless and Persistence in calculation.

are you complaining about getting MORE xp than you should?

No, the tome is WAI and granting a stacking +25% bonus, but the quest exp panel is adding the Flawless Victory 10% and Persistence 10% to the total displayed under the Tome bonus heading. Tome exp is displaying total exp rewarded, not base exp after bonuses similar to First Time Bonus.

Also interesting to note is that as store pots multiply the exp awarded, not base exp, a tome multiplies the rewards of a pot, with increasing returns for higher values.

Oh, gotcha. So just a visual bug that is lumping persistance and flawless in with the tome bonus.

Things to check: Test with streak bonus to determine numbers are being calculated correctly. Seems to be working well enough so far though. I bug repped the issue anyhow, but overall tomes are granting the right exp bonuses. Might even be nice to keep the display as is to avoid the need to scroll for your total.

So the 298 is correct:
It's just that the tome bonus (+25%, +74,5) and the higher level malus (-10%, -29,8) are confusing as they both state that they influence the base xp?
