Default DDO store is a black page!

since the patch last week I haven't been able to get the DDO store to come up. I did everything I can do from the help page i.e. cleared cache, deleted browser, etc. and still nothing. I've reported it any no replies. Can someone PLEASE help me? I can't spend my points if I can't get to the store.

Occasionally used to happen to me with W7/64 bit.

The following two items usually fixed it:

    1) Run adobe flash update, close browser windows.
    2) Run DDO in admin mode once.

I would suggest just doing the first item to see if it works before trying admin mode (for fear it may create an issue down the line where client cannot reupdate said files when running non-admin mode?)

In order to try to figure out where the problem is, we'd need to know exactly happens when you try to load the DDO store, what exactly do you see? Does the screen go black? Does it go white? Does the background stay unchanged? Does a frame appear? I assume the HELP menu works fine?

Turbine representatives do post here from time to time, but this is normally a peer help forum (but there are a LOT of knowledgeable players!). The bug reports usually don't get a response. If you want a Turbine response I suggest you submit a Technical Support ticket via http://support.turbine.com

If you want a faster response, call their account support number by voice, I am sure if you want to spend money they'll help figure out whats going on!

Ok, let me be very careful to get this exactly right, because it matters as to figuring out what is wrong. When you click on the store the normal frame comes up but the inside of the frame is black (as opposed to empty with the background showing), but the HELP page comes up fine?

This is important information to try to narrow down the problem.

When the frame comes up, does the HOME button (second from the left at the top of the frame) come up and what happens when you press it?

yes, the frame comes up with the home and back buttons but the inside of it is black. as far as background i'm not sure i know what you mean. do you mean the black colored background as in the web page? if so then yes it looks like the same black that the web page or help page would be if there was no text or pictures on it. I really hope this helps. also my default is ie 9 but i use firefox.

Ok, did you "power cycle" your modem and router?

Essentially, turn them both off (turn off power to them) for a minute or two, then turn them back on.

    See if that helps.

You're very welcome and I'm glad it works!

I'm not exactly sure what goes wrong, but modems and routers have all sorts of internal settings and connection information and sometimes they can be set wrong or just "lose track" and need to be reset.
