Default AI bug - Epic Drow spellcasters and Pale Masters

Epic Drow Priestesses (and their arcane counterparts the Drow Wizards) love using negative energy spells. Inflicts, Necrotic Ray, etc.

Which is a pretty sensible move when not facing Pale Masters, but they keep healing my PM in there.

Any chance mobs can be taught to use Heal/DP (divines) or Sunburst/Searing Light (arcanes) in those situations instead?
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

But then how will PMs stay OP in new Epic Content? I demand it stay how it is so PMs can have some more help in Epic content.

I can see a problem with them healing PMs yes.. but no to giving them specific anti-pm spells when every non-PM can ignore those spells too. Surely you should be asking for a total retool as everyone else will just use deathward and be immune to negative energy.

I actually think this is pretty cool as it is.

I haven't had my Pale Master for as long as some people, but I have had 7 other toons, 5 of which are TRs. All 8 are sitting at level 20.

I notice something odd. I'm running stuff on one of my other toons, and forget Death Ward... I take tons of Negative Energy Damage. Harms, Mass Inflicts, Saves on FoD, etc.

I get on my Pale Master... nothing. Suddenly, casters stop using those spells.

It's annoying to me that enemy casters "never mess up". Every now and then, it'd be neat for them to Harm me at least once before realizing it was a poor idea.

That, and I feel that the Drow are going to be hard on a PM in there. Sure, you can Web them, but that doesn't really kill them, does it? A Wizard's Forte, DC-Based Save-or-be-screwed-spells, are going to be all but useless in mostly Drow Content. And coming from a Water Savant, the difference in Spell Damage (and Spell Damage Sustainability) is night and day. If I have to DPS down every Drow I come across, I won't make it far.

It's like a Pale Master in an all Undead quest - what do I do? Firewall, and pray I don't have to use Negative Energy Burst, since I'll be healing my enemies. (These) Drow happen to specialize in the exact kind of spells beneficial to Pales. Sucks to be them?

I'd think it was fine if they made the mistake of Inflicting you once. The Drow Priestesses, however, spam Inflict spells. (The Wizards are less silly - they do throw spells that hurt PMs too, Ball Lightning, Disintegrate and more).

You are right that PMs do not shine against the Drow, but PMs do shine against all the Demons in these quests and have some reasonable tools available for Drow - mostly 2-stacking a single DOT spell which can be done on two Drow simultaneously.

Stacking DoTs on trash is expensive, though..especially if they also happen to be self-healing.

I agree that having the enemy casters spamming beneficial effects on my Pale Master is probably bad, but it wouldn't hurt my feelings if they still occasionally had an "oops" moment. Like, say, when I pop a Maximized-Empowered Necrotic Ray on one of the Cinderspawns in Elite Sins.

Sorry for the slightly off topic question but someone verified if Necrotic Ray is working as per the release notes (no more SR check)?
