You want a melee buffer? Get yourself a FvS soul survivor (http://my.ddo.com/sirgog/2010/09/03/...soul-survivor/), it performs much better at that role. Wizards don't have much in the line of melee buffs for DPS aside from hage (you can get pretty survivable, though, with high con, shield mastery, death aura, etc), and at the end of the day, DPS is what kills stuff for you.

About the level 4 wizards meleeing, it's because at that level, master's touch + greatsword out-dpses most of their spells, and is more sustainable than their lowish spell pool.

I would go FvS or Cleric but i dont like to heal, im bad at it. its too much preassure on me. i wanted to do melee buffer so i can buff my slef before battle run in kill with swords. and live cause if im in a dungeon with 3 bosses. i waste all sp on 1st bosss. so i wanted melee buffer :/

    Default a few wiz pointers

Always custom. Here's some advice and information on wiz (thought i must admit, i prefer sorc)
race: up to you, but human if going palemaster (wraith and lich form necro specced) or wf for archmage(or human just imo not as nice)
first off: max int and con (if you have any pts after this being either a tr or 28 pt build then put rest into str).

skills: as a wiz, you have an abundance of skill points from increase int. make sure you get: concentration and umd, and after that witht eh rest of your points get balance then spot, anything after that is your call.

*be sure to look online and see which spells you cannot buy int eh scroll version at a shop or portable hole and pick those when you level up. (there are plenty of lists online showing which scrolls must be learned)

feats you want to get: toughness, spell focus (try and get in 2 or more schools- necro, enchant, conjuration, any combo of the 3 or all 3), greater spell focus, heighten, maximize, spell penetration, extend or quicken if you have room, and as a wiz you have a 5 feat advantage over your nuking counterpart, so try and avoid picking class feats for your normal 3 level feats. this way you can definitely fit in shield prof and mastery so you can use your dots (niacs and eladars lv 5 spells) and take next to no damage while taking a beating.
*you will need mental toughness by level 12 if you want wraith form and by level 6 if you're going the archmage route.

    Gear
greensteel conc opp sp item (sp is easy to fit on there because you just grab blind immunity for 1st tier)
greensteel hp item, amrath items are nice. mabar has some nice items you'll want to pick up, ESPECIALLY if you're going the palemaster route the robe of shadow have boon of undeath. try and get nice items with spell focus on them. if going the am way, docent of the diabolist is a beaut, +7 int 2 aug slots and +3 conjuration dc's. the torc of prince raiyum-de is a great item to have too.

this isnt a lot of info but its a start good luck man

ps- the reaon ppl want you to go pure wizis because of a +2 int capstone, but honestly wiz do make nice multiclasses there are quite a few 18wiz/2rog's out there
Cannith: Gurei - Kinkaku - Xier - Biggorox - Slenderbot - Lrrrr (RULER OF THE PLANET OMICRON PERSEI 8!)

No idea how experienced you are in this game, for I myself have never thought about that combination and from the top of my head I can not see the one benefit that makes this class a logic step for anyone. If you think you need the wizard buffs, I can assure you, you won´t. A lot of buffs come bottled and as clickies on items and you really don´t want to loose those high-lvl monk abilities or the capstone.

Besides that, if you feel the urge to make this character just go ahead and don´t give a **** about what other people say. As long as you´re having fun and are able to contribute to the party´s effort, everything is fine. If you´re planning to solo a lot I can again assure you that a pure monk is an excellent solo character.

ive seen some 18/2 monks that do melee, don't think ive ever seen that deep of a splash though with those 2 classes. Others ya but more for quick tr purposes.

When it comes to mages at least sorc and wiz usually you don't wanna give to much up. One because spells level as you level and 2 because their capstones are actually decent. Now their are things that people splash with giving up their capstone but they're a tradeoff of something else.

Like a wiz 18 2 rog. You get evasion and with int as your main stat you can hop through traps and disable with the best of em.

Some go 2 monk. I'm not entirely certain why except maybe the 2 extra feats that you can take toughness twice with. I'd suppose you could be in stance as well with the robe, though couldn't really hit anything I don't think.

Sorc's usually stay pure but I have seen some who have splashed something like barbarian for the extra hp and con.
Seems to work well for em.
