Guess I know what I'm doing this weekend...
Just another bait and switch in my book. When there is a "feature" to a pack, and people spend real $$$ to get it, these types of changes are wrong.
Just like the challenges, they leave it long enough to get the $$$ in, then take it away.
So will rings you already have be no ML still? Or will they be changed too?
The only downside is that this is an early-win problem; those who don't have them never will ... kinda like the ease of raising crafting levels in the very early beta, as opposed to now.
Stuff like this is why I don't mind them increasing drop rates on other items in the game or lowering scale/relic counts, etc.
Ghallanda - now with fewer alts and more ghostbane
To each their own then.
If it was a bug, it should not have taken over a year to address.
Other bugs like this are fixed quietly so no one can abuse it one last time.
The forwarning about this "bug fix" throws up red flags to me.
Turbine - "quick buy this pack before we nerf the loot!"
The whole thing seems dirty to me, yes the rings are out or wack, but there was no mention of them not WAI. I truly saw them as a desperate plan to entice people into buying the pack. So once again the people that got in early reap the rewards.
OH, and they never said what the new ML would be. Could all be ML7 .... still nice items.
But Turbine never fixed it! It must be intended!
"What was will be, what is will be no more."
Sorry, Thrudh was making me think of Ghostbusters 2. "Lenny... have you looked outside? We've taken our own headcount. There are a million miserable ******** out there."
Which in turn kept the quote process going. I'm pretty certain your rings that exist will continue to be as they are. But any future rings will be corrected. This is the standard mo of Turbine.
If so then make the change retroactive. If this was a bug and new people can't benefit from it peeps who already have such rings shouldn't either. At least they benefited while it lasted.
On a brighter note i guess i wont have to buy that pack now, almost did last week and decided to wait Glad i did wait !

Motto is exploit early, exploit often. *sigh*
And in this day of communication and social media, transparency on these issues will save you from bad PR that you won't really be able to recover from. Hiding behind a wall of draconian authority will only destroy you.
Oh well, tangent over.
