Today, February 7, 2012 the statistics for the # of replies and # of view for each topic are:
Enhancements (Replies) 3,469 (Views) 22,583
Lammania (Replies) 167 (Views) 39,450
Encumbrance (Replies) 420 (Views) 11,605
Screen Res. (Replies) 192 (Views) 7,826
Challenges (Replies) 458 (Views) 52,454
Game Difficulty (Replies) 808 (Views) 28,921
The Shroud (Replies) 881 (Views) 28431
Of course this is not the highest quality data but whether we like that or not these numbers are what they are. Yes, the total numbers of (Replies) and (Views) tick up even if it's same poster and/or viewer (Replying) and/or (Viewing) multiple times.
What they mean however is very subjective but I think there are some obvious things that could be said.
By far the number 1 issue that resonates the most with the forum crowd is Enhancements. A key element in character development by the way. This is interesting to me. Chracter development is the highest by an overwhelming amount
The Shroud and Game Difficulty are basically tracking at an equal rate. Pretty obvious that these two topics resonate the same with the forum community or at least generate the same interest. Seems obvious to conclude they are related but there is not enough data to actually say this with any confidence
On this same note Lammania and screen Resolution are generating the same number of replies but the views are overwhelimngly more on Lammania. So the screen resolution is generating it's own reaction and the views are mostly related to those Replying. Probably is. Burt lammania is generating an audiance, so interest is clearly higher for Lammania than screen resolution. No surpries there really.
Encumbrance is generating low Replies but is actually drawing an audiance which IMO makes Screen resolution the issue generating the least amount of attention. Agian, not good or bad, but not a suprise that this is appealing to the technofiles and rigmasters.
anyone see any other patterns? AND BTW, coming in with mathematical statistical analysis and acturarial analysis of data would be more than useless as I already stated above, the quality of the data is what it is.
