Default Ice Savant. Give me your 2 cents...

Its the first time I use the char builder.
This is the basic idea of my final TR with out any items.
The +2 tomes I do not know specifically when I can use them, but use them I will.
The idea behind this char is to be a Sniper, CC and buffing char.
I would like your opinions on it. I play on Gallandra and try to help new people. Also dont mind asking for help when there is a quest I do not know.
Currently I am doing my first TR as a wizzard.

IMO, Drow is a poor choice for sorceror as the class is feat starved.

I'd go human for the extra feat and the no loss to hitpoints..

Also, I've found that maximizing just one line of spells can lead to some serious issues on some quests.

I try to max my main, and at least pump up one other line. Force is nice for those non-elemental types. It'll make your magic missiles pop, Ups your ice storm non-typed damage, adds extra to your disintegrates, and gives your meteor swarms more punch.

Or, you could go with electric and then have 2 very heavy dps dots, eladar's and niac's.

Not sure where you are going with your skills either.
I have found to be the most useful in this order:

    1. Concentration (For your heal scrolls and non-quickened casts)
    2. Balance (So you can get back up when you're flat on your rump)
    3. 10 points in jump so you can max the skill with the spell
    4. If anything left over, take haggle or spot.

The whole point in grinding out wizard lives, is to save on spell penn feats.
With three PL wiz, you gain +6 spell penn.

    Drop both spell penn feats.

Pick up toughness. Seriously, your a drow without toughness.

On any water savant, I'd take spell focus conjuration. Niacs is so powerfull at all levels.

Human or Warforged IMO is the way to go. Drow does not bring much to the table. Your DC's will be higher at low levels, but again you have two sorc past lives, and a wiz feat.

There are so many water savant builds posted here, and so many threads talking about all the ins and outs..... could be why no huge responce here.

I agree with the other posters on their comments and reinforce the hit point comments. If you go with this build, you will definitely need to find gear to raise your hitpoints.

This is the char at this time...

    http://my.ddo.com/character/ghallanda/argentyy/

It has 304 hp at level 19

The mysterious bauble when questing is replaced by a systaining symbiont for +30 hp.

From ship buff I can get a extra 19 hp atm, will be 20.

Also I am planing on replacing my Ornamented Dagger for a green steel dagger and get +2 con bonus for another 20 hp. To replace it I want to craft a Tier 3 frozen tunic which is not far fetched.

Leaving me at 374 hp without buffs. +Gh +Rage +(forget the name of level 2 caster spell for hp) and I end up with 434. With the help of a cleric I would be with another +40 hp (aid and heroes feast? the one that gives you hp after resting).

The idea of getting Spell pen and past lifes is for this char to be a good CC in epic questing.

Changing races is problematic I am a sucker for drows. WF I could not play, a human is not out of the question.

I'd drop Arcane Prodigy. Sounds like a slightly better MT, and you won't really need that. Also, you won't be able to take Water Savant II at level 12 like that. You want the prereq feats somewhere before level 12. Toughness is missing from your feats (it's a potential 42 hp you are missing, with the racial toughness enhancements). For the CC, you might want to consider Heighten for webs when facing high SR.

ARcane prodigy I added only for the +1 to DC, could drop it for toughness. that would leave me at 416 with all the items. Without counting HP spells buffs. Sound pretty good for a Drow. Hopefully I can snatch a +3 or +4 tome instead of the +2 I got for a bit more bonus.

    Sounds pretty good.

    Thanks!

Arcane Prodigy doesn't add to your DCs, Arcane Initiate (aka PL Wizard) does, and is a must-have if you have a wizard PL. Arcane Prodigy adds 110sp to a class with a monstruous base mana pool. Not worth it in my opinion.
