    Default Increased damage dice?

NEW (Lamannia Only): Some named items in the Web of Chaos quests now have a minimum level of 16 instead of 12. The items are Cruel Nobility, Doublecross Bow, Envenomed Blade, Fury of Flame, Luminous Truth, Silver Slinger, Templar's Retribution and Flameward. However, these items now have double their earlier damage dice.

So does this mean the NON-epic staff is now a competitive option damage wise with epic souleater for staff acrobats?
(2d6+4 19-20/x2 w/ 2d6 adds and 1d10 on crits vs 2d6+6 19-20/x2 w/ 2d6 adds and potential insta kill?) I can't wait to see what the epic one has.

I imagine this makes a lot of these much more appealing now.

Ouch! I missed that on there! I'm hoping that's a typo in the notes.

'increase' historically doesn't mix well with dwarves, and this from their birth on
On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero

My bastard sword is a standard 1d10 same as the dwarf axe no increase there.

This whole thing confuses me as all of these items were already ml 16 and there has been no increase on the actual items themselves.

No, the correct response would be:

    "Bastards!"

Thank you for spotting this, we'll need to change the release note shortly. After looking into these reports, the issue was that the epic versions of these weapons were missing their doubled damage dice in the previous U13 update on Lamannia, and now have them. When the note was written, the explanation about the change was misinterpreted.
Have fun, and don't forget to gather for buffs!

Can we talk about the process of writing release notes? They seem to be written by people who are uninvolved with the actual changes and who do not play the game. I originally thought that the notes were worded vaguely out of a perverse sense of satisfaction, but at this point it seems like a simple lack of knowledge. This shouldn't be taken as a personal criticism: if I were a communications major hired to summarize dev speak for the masses on subjects I was completely unfamiliar with, I can't imagine I would do a better job of it than whoever is doing it now.
