5x Slayer Boosts - Might be useful in the expansion, of minimal use now.
4x spirit cakes - Minimal Use to high end melees. Not like you are going to solo something
5x Guild Renown - again minimal use.
Rest Shrine - Cannot be used in Raids - little or no use.

The problem is it kind of like your crazy little aunt that gives you a [insert wierd gift here], there is no question that the hearts in the right place but the gift itself is of little or minimal value.

Sure I would have love to seen a +3 BTC Tome or a +2 BTA but I would settle for getting the items as a BTA.

Actually everything you list might be useful in the expansion.

For the 'player who has everything' though, Turbine has a challenge trying to list a reward that is useful to you and the other 95% of the player population.

I'm sure if they included +3 BTC tomes, there would still be a tiny segment of the population that wouldn't find those useful.

I don't understand why the rest shrines can't be used in raids though. It seems like this would be something that even the 'player who has everything and only runs raids' could find useful. Is it a game mechanic or just an arbitrary choice by Turbine that imposes this restriction?

It was not a negative comment about Turbine. I make plenty of those, but that was not one of them!

I will always make negative comments about features and changes that I think could be improved upon.

Yes - they are the same.

Ability score boosting tomes confer Inherent Bonuses to your abilities. If you have a +1 Inherent Bonus, you have consumed a +1 tome. Or, a +2, +3, or +4 time, but are only currently level 3.

Yep... The orginal cakes were usable in raids.. But at the time it wasn't that big of a deal it was a one time thing. Allowing store bought shrine into raids is a big problem...

I don't believe that he made me dance. However, I was working through LogMeIn, and in my efforts to keep up on the forum, I may have had the windowed client covered while dancing.
