    Default What would you like to see in the DDO Lottery?

    We solicited suggestions from everyone in mid-2011 about things they'd like to see in the DDO Lottery, and were able to put a few of those suggestions into the Lottery prize list. I wanted to give it another try! Let us know what you'd like to see offered as prizes, and we will take it under consideration.

    The only thing I want to see added to the Lottery is my characters.
    I have 37 characters listed on myDDO. I have ONE character that can enter lotteries, and that character is a favor runner on a server that I don't play on.
    I don't care what you have as prizes because I can't enter them. So what I want added to Lotteries is my characters.

    Things that are either unbound or BtA.

    I dislike "winning" things that I just have to throw out because they are BtC (oooo cure wounds potions on my warforge, so not worth the inventory spot or mummy rot cure/protection on a level 19 toon or even better a True Druidic heart on a bank toon).

    Yes I could just go through the list only selecting those toons that could use the item from those lotteries that are available, but I could run a short adventure in the time it takes to do that instead of seclecting the "all" button (yes a slight exaggeration but you get the point).

    Yes I also realize that if the toon could not use it, it is nothing lost because I "paid" nothing for it. But if you won the lottery it would be nice to use it.

    In some cases it is just the version of the item you chose to put in the lottery. There are BtC hearts and there are BtA hearts, just pick the BtA one.

    Shapshap, League of Extraordinary Ham, Sarlona and a bunch of alts that all have names begining with Sha or Sho. Of course Shapshap could be the alt and one of the others the main, it just depends on what day it is.

    Blank BtA small/med/large guild slotted gear. It you guys think it might be to nice, make it BtC. A blank set of goggles with a large guild slot would be pretty tight.

    How about seals from Abbot or Stormreaver? Might encourage people who haven't gotten the packs to dive in...

    Cosmetics tokens. Something to turn in for your choice of a hair/shield/mask/armor cosmetic. Instead of just picking one cosmetic to lottery out or all of them from one category (like hair) just make a hair token, or an armor token, etc.

    None BtC.

    More things that are BTA and not BTC. Especially true hearts.

    Maybe some med green steel ingreds (Large seems greedy, but that would be even better!

    I like these ideas.

    What about more kit type of items? Everything needed to add +1 force damage to a weapon or +1 dodge to armor?


    Maybe random BTA cosmetic gear.

    GS blank kits, so you have everything you need to make the blank of your choice?

    various gems to summon various monsters, like the air elementals from cove, but a larger variety.

    I like that the Lottery doesn't focus on Rare/hard to get stuff, but mundane but useful stuff but here are some thoughts...

    • Emperor's new clothes - Assortment of Cosmetic Armor Trials
    • Some Guild Specific items like Portals
    • Challenge Tokens
    • Collectibles like Eberron dragonshards in sets of three
