Honestly I would report the user for attempting to bully you by pretending to be "friends" with a mod/gm and will get you "bunned" for not allowing him in party.

I'm sure this type of garbage works on some people.

When I used to play peer to peer games the threats were hacking eachother, now everyone has a friend with some kind of control over the server. The theme continues.

I agree-- this is only a step above mod impersonation. GMs are impartial-- they do not and cannot interfere with player interactions, aside from the powers granted within their jobs (such as helping players who get stuck because of glitches, dealing with abuse reports, etc). It's completely possible that a GM could be friends with a player, but they cannot intervene on that player's behalf unless someone is being abusive to that player in a manner that violates the TOS. And in a case like that, the victim of abuse would have to go through the usual channels of reporting the offender anyway. If a GM were to "play favorites" with a player and ban someone just because he or she was mean to "their friend," that GM would not be a GM for long.

While I agree the guy is an idiot, I do have one problem with the OP - there is NO problem with the Lesser Might of the Abishai (3-piece) set on a 20 sorc that doesn't yet have the epic set. +1 evocation caster level is not horrible.

Other than that, though, you should've reported him.

sadly, i have to say that two DM's came today to our guild and took tarnesh with them. they said something about volunteer work venoming envenomed cloaks, since all trolls that were doin't that went to do a hox run. O method ofcourse

I would have to say that half of sarlona doesnt know the O or the H method. The common method I see is the Z method... heals on tank in middle, one zerger pulls south trash through middle in route to north. Pull north trash through middle on way back south. Rinse and repeat til party wipe...

Hosting elite HoX today, an unknown sorcerer applies. Lfm said "know H method", since he doesnt seem to know what i'm speaking about, i ask him "What is H method ?"

Then i myddoed him, 24 Cha sorc, 14ish in the other stat, wearing half of the lvl 5 abishai set. I told him i didnt want him, very politely, then he insisted, i had to decline him (clicking on decline button) because i had forgotten to do it.

Everyone know how fun and noisy a HoX is with Maxed-Eardweller'd Ice Storm and BB and Improved Precise Shot!

How to do it:
- Zone in while others are outside giving instructions.
- Attempt to intim the Momma dog but get tripped and bee'd instead.
- Ask for hjeals both in party chat and on voice! Make sure you have Hands-Free turned on while you complain about the worthless group you got in to yourself aloud.

A- Wait for the *ding* and release, but don't drop group so you can learn a few new words and places to go.
B- Take note of a few names from the group, DC and switch to another toon (any lvl, it doesnt matter) and send tells to those names: "Everything OK down there? I saw a dude leaving the SubT in pretty bad shape and got worried" / "Wanna join an Elite HoX?"

Watchout for black vans and suspicious-looking dudes wearing sunglasses outside your home, thou.
