Hosting elite HoX today, an unknown sorcerer applies. Lfm said "know H method", since he doesnt seem to know what i'm speaking about, i ask him "What is H method ?"

He answered :

its when some1 tank the mother and healers heal him and all other take runes and after just killing the mother'

Then i myddoed him, 24 Cha sorc, 14ish in the other stat, wearing half of the lvl 5 abishai set. I told him i didnt want him, very politely, then he insisted, i had to decline him (clicking on decline button) because i had forgotten to do it.

Then he nicely told me :

i will speack with GM_DDO sorry man but i think you will get bunned'

When i told him that declining someone from a lfm because he doesnt respect asked requirements, he said :

ol he didnt need to understand he is my freind and i just will say to him so you make me angry

No name, put just wanted to put it somewhere in case something weird happens to my account.

Your LFM and so it is up to you who you do or do not accept. That said, What on earth is the H method? I have led and run numerous HoX runs on Thelanis and have never heard of that before.

Sarlona has his own weird stuff. H refers to the shape of the raid. U occupy middle (-) and people are on east (I) and west (I) => H.

You should have responded that your BEST FRIEND is a Senor GM...and that he will veto his friend's Ban...and then fire his friend...make him live on the street and then eventually move in with the perp...where they will be forced to eat Ramen and drink grocery store brand cola.

H: Tanking/healing in the middle. Group splits between the west and east sides, and only clears those two sides. Do not enter the north and the middle portals supposedly doesn't spawn trash. Once the four stones are obtained, collapse down and guard the east and west side.

Most of the trash that does spawn will either sit at their portals, or run around the outside without bothering with the middle. Works well when you have everyone capable of listening, and nobody feels they HAVE to go chase trash. It can get hairy if there is a lot of trash on the outside because of alert if you need a second set of stones.

O: Tank/heal in the middle, one or two fast movers running clockwise, to draw aggro, rest of the group sticks together running counter clockwise. Kill any trash that spawns. Advantages is that it can give everyone the feeling they're doing something. Disadvantages occur when people spread out on the outside, panic, and get away from the healing.

The H method is still kind of a clique sort of thing here. Most people we explain it to don't understand why we even bother... until we complete. Then, suddenly, we've got a new member of the clique.

And one group I do Hound with uses what they affectionately dubbed the "HO" method. XD

Basically it's a modified H method where you have one person run around outside the whole time to reduce the frequency of trash entering the inside and draw trash away from the Mindflayers so that getting more stones is easier if it's necessary.
