Reaver's Fate elite, full group. No problems at the beginning, molasses after the first elemental group appeared. Almost a party wipe within 30 seconds.

Elite Chrono loot run. Lots of dancing ball, ice storm and general lag bait. No lag. About 9:30PM EST.
Sold some stuff in the AH after with no issues.

Had one spike of the "move 1/2 body length -> stop half a second, rinse and repeat for 30 seconds" lag in Shadow Knight, but then Shadow Lord was perfectly lag-free, better than normal.

Been trying for 30 minutes to reconnect after getting frozen and having to hard crash the game. I can get to my character select list, but can't load in. Constantly losing connection to the server at that stage.

I take it that none of you read the message saying that between 2pm Tues and 2pm Weds, they were going to do latency/connectivity tests on Thelanis, and that this sort of behavior was to be expected?
11:40 pm eastern - tried to do a new invasion, did 3 runs in a row - first run zero lag. second run, we started to rubber band, the third run the game came to a **** near halt right at the beginning. I was fighting 1 on 1 with a tiefling, furiously swinging at it and doing zero damage - while it would occasionally damage me every few seconds. I was not able to move or maneuver - all I could do was swing my weapons, use voice chat and party chat. 2 minutes later the tielfling killed me while I did zero damage to it.
...giving up for the night. frustrating indeed, when your 75k off cap on a double TR![]()

This is what is happening on thelanis and probably the server room

Yes, I am aware of the announcement and I'm sure everyone else is as well.
The last time the server was this bad, a thread similar to this was started - in which a QA dev asked players to document place and time they experienced major lag. I can almost guarantee that the lag problem wont simply vanish by 2pm wednesday, if it does it will be a miracle. the lag issues did not start when they announced they were doing troubleshooting - it started before that.
Anyways, entire point of this thread is to simply throw information out there and hope it helps them pinpoint possible issues. troubleshooting "lag" is not an easy process, and any info we can give to help speed up the process only benefits us.

Played last night from 7PM PST to about 10PM PST. Had ten seconds of lag in the Gianthold town area. Other than that it was lag free. Did slayers, ran POP and Madstone with 2 other players and some hirelings.
Played last night around 8pm pst, did gianthold slayers, some questing.
Had one instance of around 8 seconds of lag waiting for a spell to land.
Some movement is jerky, other than that it plays just fine.
No serious issues.

Extraplaner Mines packs were unplayable. Minerals took over 3 minutes just to appear. Monsters almost never appeared (cleared the ENTIRE mine... 17 monsters was the most total mobs of the 3 times we tried... every single one but the dragon being random "incoming" spawns). During the 3 minutes it took for minerals to appear, it was a slideshow of play. But with no minerals to mine or monsters to fight, guess at least we had time to play cats cradle. =D
Kobold Island. The ones we tried in the group were lag free. Being that there are very few spawn instances and no real complexity to the maps, I attested the lack of lag to that.
Mt Rushmore. Also unplayable.
Lava Caves. We saved this for last. Figured that a massively larger map with many more crystals would fart even worse than mines. But nope, lag free.
So the fact that Lava caves was smooth as butter, but simpler instances were unplayable lag fests definitely makes me wonder. However can't play again until after the maintenance is supposedly done, so we'll see how it goes. =d
Yesterday (Jan 31), 3:30 pm est, we were in von3 and had to give up. Couldn't move other than 1 step every 15 seconds or so. Once we finally made it out, lag was very minor in house K. Just a little stuttering here or there. We were in Co6 prior to that and lag was terrible but we were still able to complete the quests. The lag at least doubled when we went over to VoN3.
Today around 10 am est, we tried to do a Rushmore: Moving targets, and that was a bust as well. Could move intermittently but lag eventually killed us. Again, lag was only minor while moving around house C and the market. The lag definitely seems to be worse inside instances.
