Thelanis Lag reports

Hey guys,

I have a theory that the lag appears to be instance-related. If you experience major lag in specific quests and/or public areas, please post it here and give the rough time / number of people you were grouped with.

So far I have noticed:

The tower of the twelve
Hall of planes
Bastion of power

all of em verified to be *barely can move* lag at 4:39 eastern. grouped with 2-6 people at the time.

update:

in house cannith, lag was almost nonexistant (ironically) for the last thirty minutes.

no lag entering the quest (blown to bits)

everyone in party just rendered immobile. nobody can move, we can all swing our weapons, type in chat, but no movement. (5:05 eastern).

voice chat is still functioning without delay, party chat is functioning without delay. party is virtually immobile.

I'm in the same boat, since about the same time in waterworks. I'm on my permadeather I run while working tech support (I know, funny, right?) and in part 3, about to drop down the tube, but...can't move. Been about 5-6 minutes. I had had no lag until then since enterign waterworks.

Tried to auction a few items, the auction would not post. Tried to log out and just sat there for a few minutes, had to quit out. Al the while I could move and see other people move. All by myself, no others in the party. Seen no lag in the marketplace.

Wiz King - Solo on fighter so no big spell effects severe rubber banding and lag on a 8-10 second delay, unplayable

Full Party. No monsters.
Lag spikes.
Missing own healing bursts.
Perma Acid rained.

5 zergs, 5th killed the whole party.

Solo tempests spine - lagged outside at start, inside fighting giants/drow, couldn't even describe the lag in fire & ice (ice was far worse).

Lags even walking around & collecting airship buffs (noone else on the ship)

Seriously, it makes the game unplayable and really frustrating. Just take Thelanis offline & fix it properly.

No lag in marketplace or Zwabi's or Sands explorers solo. FvS bb's and heals firing without a hitch. AH and mail was fine.

Just ran Coal Chamber. Full group. Massive lag 1/2 way through till end. 2045 est.

Lag in all parts, puzzles were fun . 3-4 DC's 1 never made it back. part 4 1 rounder, 2 deaths at the end. Part 5 was fairly smooth... considering. I wouldn't advise and harder difficulties at this time.

I've been simply hitting lag spikes in quests when there are 8 or more critters actively trying to kill me, off and on.

It is somewhat reminiscent of the days of Module 6 when I'd aggro everything in The Coalescence Chamber and not kill it, producing some hefty server-based instance lag.

Not sure exactly what time it was, probably between 4 and 5pm eastern or so. Stuttery movement in harbour, marketplace, House P and Necropolis. Once I got out into the Orchard it was far worse - very slow movement, kept pausing every few steps. (I wasn't in a party, and I saw very few other players in the Necropolis at that time.)

Attacking with a bow resulted in regular firing animation speed for the most part, but only every 4th or 5th 'arrow' resulted in an attack roll. (I was watching the arrows in inventory and they were not being used up at the same rate as the firing animation would suggest.) Lightning strikes coming my way were also not registering at least half the time, fortunately!

In melee it was worse, great difficulty getting next to the mobs as they would 'jump' to where I was a moment earlier as soon as I reached them. If I did manage to catch one I might get in a few swings with one or two registering, before it hopped away. Again, fortunately the hits coming my way were also not registering too often or I'd have been dead fairly quick.

After I gave up and recalled, movement in the Necropolis was incredibly difficult - having the W key constantly pressed, and taking half a step - pause - half a step - pause. During all this the regular chat seemed to be working okay with no delays (guild and user channels), but a /tell would take up to 30 seconds to appear in the window and my friend said his took a full minute. I went away to do something else for a while, and when I came back I was able to move freely again but I didn't try to play any more at that time.

Logged back online about 10:05pm eastern - zoned into the air ship super laggy. the move one step - freeze 5 seconds - move one step - freeze 5 seconds kinda lag. after a few minutes it went away, still choppy but not quite as bad.

Do NOT auction stuff or move stuff from or to your bank while this is going on...

You're just asking to lose an item.

If you do have to do something like that... stand there until it moves. Do not give up and log off.

Ran an 11 person tempest spine. Lag joined after we zoned in at the beginning but it didnt stop anybody for long and we completed it in a short time. I died a bit at the top but thats cause i got in the way of a giant club not because of lag.
