tbh idk why you'd want to join someones group that says they have to know you for a lvl 16 quest, that has been out for over a couple years, that old content sure is hard.

In fairness, if using the LFM panel to corral your friends in game, it's usually a good idea to make it clear on the LFM, so hapless PUGs don't try to join.

Should be put in the LFM. I see em all the time with:

Private.

People I know first.

Guild run.

Most of the time I see that stuff, I end up putting my own LFM up if I really wanted to run that quest anyhow. Sometimes I even get sarcastic and put "Noobs and people I never met only" in it.

But I agree, that does reek with elitism.

Though in fairness, I will post a LFM that says "In progress, know the way to the quest...not stopping... talk to Zawabi 13 times". I would always get someone to join who would say "shr plz" or "where is this" or I am at the end (second fight) and they would get to the quest and say "it is saying I am on the wrong chapter...what does that mean?" Then they would get angry when I would finish then recall out and drop party. Who is wrong in that situation? Me for being impatient? Or them for failing at reading comprehension?

I have to admit, I also get tired of people 10 minutes getting ship buffs for a 10 minute quest (OOB for example). It really slows the XPing process down.

So we are once again brought back to the issue...His LFM...His Rules. And that can be annoying.

its perfectly ok to put an LFM with Friends only / friends first / private

But totally rude to not put it, and then Kick someone and say 'it just occured to me that i dont know you'.

To decline a request is rude enough, but to accept and kick someone is worse.

If the poster didn't put any label in the LFM that its private then I can think of no reason why than himself feeding his ego and making fun of people by declining joiners and kicking the ones who he forgets he doesnt know.

Granted it's been months since I encountered him last, but before to me he seemed like a minor jerk and a little odd, which is like 50% of DDO. Maybe I just didn't encounter the bad side, but it seems like something recently made the d*ckishness go nuclear.

My first thread was deleted because i was so angry with that guys behaviour that i forgot to delete his name when copy - pasting from the party chat. The dm did his job, for this i have no issues.

On the other hand i refuse to accept omerta in this forum Ilindith.
No one is getting banned for posting behaviours like this on the forum.

Fortunately, i had never run in one of his lfms before, now i know why ppl talk about him like that.
