Question Time to put rogues among vendor hireling option?

I thin it is time to put rogues among vendor hireling option and add artificer in the DDO store.

Also, to compensate the dumb A.I. i'd suggest to let players have the option to use hirelings one level above player's level, with no xp penalties in quests.

I think these are reasonable requests, feel free to comment.

I think rogue hires should remain a store only item.

I think any premium hire that can unlock chests and doors should remain store only items. Let alone disable the traps as well.

There would be absolutely no reason to keep bells of opening in the store if they made rogues available from thein game vendors.

The rog hirelings are pretty lame. If you are level 12 for example and go into a level 10 quest elite (so 12) and use a level 12 rogue they wont be able to find the traps. So I think this is wrong as you have spent real money on them.

Yes you can GH them but that is not an option at lower levels or you dont have the means to.

    Nope
I dont think there is a quest which demand rogue at normal. And even if there is you can still run all others.
If you want higher difficulty then form a party, its party game, even if its possible to solo, and some classes are easier to play.
Clerics is all we need since pots are exepensive.

A fragile source of DPS would be a pain to look after, if hireling rogues aren't good at handling traps, and the natural expectations that a hired rogue do something that's useful would lead to calls to make them good with traps. And if easily available rogue hires were really good at spotting and defusing traps, then traps would be about as relevant to large chunks of the game as 8 track tapes currently are to the music industry.

They definitely can be hit and miss on elite. Sometimes they can't see/detect anything even know you "know" the trap is there so you just have to send in the ole NPC and hope evasion works

I don't think these would take the place of a bell of opening for the most part on elite runs... though for the lower difficulties you might have a point.

In any event, I don't think it would hurt to put them in the mix. We have clerics already which are used a lot more frequently than trap monkeys. You should still have the gold seal option, just as you do for other hires just in case you find yourself in need in the middle of a quest.

    Thumbs up

It's funny that it looks like you think they are intentionally broken to preserve the real rogue players

I always play in parties, this game is meant to be played together, true story.

I am suggesting this just to add more variety and spice things up a bit more.

But if i am the only one thinking this way /fail on me
