    Default Advanced guild UI

Who never had the problem of looking at one guild memeber and not knowing who the h*ll he is?
    "I'm Baruch's alt"
    "Ohhhhh right."

Why don't we add a column at the guild tab saying to which account this character belongs to? People will be able to filter characters by account, as well as name, level, class etc.
Maybe not account name, but any nickname that the player choose for all his characters to be under.
Since the amount of characters in each account that is in the guild is irrelevant, I can't see anything wrong with this suggestion. (Renown decay is based on how many accounts are in the guild, not characters)

    Benefits:
    * It will allow players to know who is who.
    * It will allow guild leaders to know exactly how many accounts are in his guild, and who belongs to what account. For example, if he wants to boot someone from the guild, he'll know who his characters are without asking.
    * Guild leader will need need to maintain and update a list of players who he manually created.

    Flaws:
    * People will not be able to be anonymous
    * Can't think of anything else

    Thoughts?

I'd also like to see more ranks within the guild, with customizable permissions (ie X rank can use the guild chest, y rank can change amenities, z rank can recruit, &c.)

Since the day I saw that command in the guild list, I have wanted to create guild ranks.

Imagine being able to label all recruits as "Redshirt"

While I wouldn't have a huge problem if they implemented this, I have to say the part I agree with most is listed under flaws... I like to have a couple of anon toons in my guild, so I'm not real big on the idea of allowing everyone to know who I am all the time...

Totally agree with this... As a guild leader, I'd LOVE to be able to give my successor and some of my more trusted officers some of the same "powers" that I have.

One further suggestion... Would it be possible for officers and the guild leader to have a tab added to the mail system so we can mass mail other officers? Sometimes I want to say something to officers that members don't need to know about and it's a real pain having to copy and paste the message to each one individually, but with different time zones and schedules, I have officers in my guild that I haven't seen in weeks, so I can't just talk to them when they're on...

/go = guild officer channel, it's a default command / channel and every guild officer on at the time has access to it.

used to use it often for more private convos when i was in a big guild full of strangers.

sure, as long as it's the players option to identify his own characters.
if the player doesn't opt in or opt out of the sharing then NOT signed.

While your idea has merit, and has been brought up before, there would have to be a way to link all the toons together without identifying the account name they are under.

Perhaps clicking a name would produce a pop-up window that lists all the toons under that account, without revealing any other information. I could go for that, or something similar.

Well, now I feel like a noob... Been doing that a lot lately lol.

I use the Officer tab a lot, but there are those times when I need the opinion of all of my officers and only a small fraction are online. We have quite a few who are in my time zone, but quite a few more that are... Well, all over the world. As a disabled vet, I have massive amounts of time on my hands, but I do have to eat/sleep sometime and somehow the tavern food just doesn't cut it for me.

I'd love customizable guild ranks and if it showed up on your name if you so wished (or better yet, if the player could "accept/deny" a guild rank)

    For example:
<name> the Eternal Soulstone of <guild name> would be freakin fantastic!

    Or just a default
<name> Officer/Leader of <guild name> would be pretty neat as well.

Or it could just list all the character names on the account, this could even be handy in other tabs of the social panel.

The account owner could set who gets to see what in another tab, for instance a little table with headings for Guild Leader, Guild Officer, Guild Member, Friend, Anyone (ignored/blocked people would see nothing) and rows for the characters on the account.

Maybe on the friends page something a little more micromanagement, i.e.: friendX can see my cleric and pally; friendY can see my pally, bard and fighter; friendZ can see everything but my cleric cos all he wants is a buff b****.
Don't talk to me about realism, you're posting in a fantasy role-playing game forum.

Guild ranks were already in game... and horribly broken.

In fact they're still there, they are just disabled.
