Special case indeed. A once decent shooting game that devolved into a virtual, ugly as sin, hat collection and mass assortment of mostly useless other items.

They look pretty cool. I actually hope there's a health mix between mundane and magical pets. My assassin for example might just have a normal cat, while sorcerer might have a baby dragon.

Hopefully there's lots of different skins too, so not everyone's pet will look the same.

The inventory tab for the pets shows spots for different tricks and also for gear. I guess this means you can dress em up and teach em to jump rope?

Ok, they are fluff, as such useless, but even fluff can be nice and while I probably won't buy any from the shop, if I get one through whatever other mean I'll probably spend some time seeing what can be done with it.

Am I the only one imagining halflings with a tiny beholder on a leash, or a bunch of beholders? Look up in the marketplace and there is a little halfling floating around holding on for dear life.

I don't know about you guys, but this new pet thing seems like some bizarre way to sell stuff from the DDO store. I mean, would I like to be followed with some panther or winter wolf while I quest? No thank you!

I'm really not buying this stuff right now.
