    Default New spells

i know there are lot of such posts but its time to refresh topic
if you have any other spells that you would like to see, post them.

    paladin:
class that has at least 2 spell lvls were there is very little choice on what to use to feel spell slots with

bless weapon: basicaly it would add ghost touch to held weapon, its doable as half of artificer spells are already doing such

magic weapon/greater: adds +1 enchantment to weapon. greater could add stacking +1 same as artificer, self use only

    ------wild idea area---------
discern lies: i know how this spell works in pnp, but in ddo it could be a variant of true sight, that does not allow to see hidden doors and such, only allows to see through illusions that are based on npc/enemies, so blur, etc.

holy weapon: changed to work on any held main weapon, if weapon has no burst effect then it adds holy burst, if there is a burst effect it gets overrided by holy burst if there is more than 1 burst then first gets overrided, also raises enchantment bonus to +5 if its lower than it, and gives silver, byeshk dr breaking ability, i know it looks like OP but spell by itself gives such properies to a weapon, main good thing out of that spell would be those dr breakers. it would move that spell into most wanted pally spell list, from rarely used and forgotten

Discern Lies could actually be renamed Keen Sight if it only helps with displacement, blur, sneak/hide and npc invis.

True seeing and see invisibility helps with all but displacement and blur type effects.

Truthfully I think we have more than enough spells and as you gave for your first two -any new ones would most likely be buffs anyway.

Or more powerful versions of lower level spells.

I think there will be more than enough new spells coming along with Druids.

my main reason for this post is that on paladin (that i know best out of all classes) i know that there is not many spells to choose from, so at some point when you have all 4 spell slots unlocked you just fill them with half random stuff just to fill them, and its like that for lvl 2 and 3 so if there was sometihng new and usefull at those lvls all the better. i know there are some limits of spells for each class but then again there is some spells that were left out due no real use for them, like discern lies, so that is reason for maybe changeing the way it works just for ddo to fit it in some usefull way, from what i hear ranger could use some new spells for same reasons too
